Iron Man (2008)

Tony Stark: You stood by my side all these years while I reaped the benefits of destruction. Now that I'm trying to protect the people I've put in harm's way, you're going to walk out?
Virginia 'Pepper' Potts: You're going to kill yourself, Tony. I'm not going to be a part of it.
Tony Stark: I shouldn't be alive, unless it was for a reason. I'm not crazy, Pepper. I just finally know what I have to do. And I know in my heart that it's right.

Journey - S1-E22

Stupidity: For their set list at regionals, Schue chooses a medley of Journey hits. Since his kids are considered the competition's underdogs, and it was pointed out to him in the previous episode that Vocal Adrenaline's weakness is funk music, he should have used that info to New Directions' advantage.

CBGB (2013)

Audio problem: When the Police play "Roxanne" for Hilly, the actors are just lip-syncing to the studio version; though his laugh has been edited out, the atonal piano chord at the beginning of the song, a now-famous gaffe from when Sting accidentally sat on a keyboard during recording, still remains.

La La Land (2016)

Trivia: At the Oscar ceremony in 2017, the film was accidentally named Best Picture, instead of true winner Moonlight, when presenters Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway were accidentally handed the wrong envelope. Such a gaffe had never occurred in the Oscars' history before.

Tommy Boy (1995)

Tommy: Boy, this is the worst. My so-called family deserts me. Michelle's mad at me. I've lost the factory, the town's going under, and I'm out of a job. [The bench he's sitting on collapses.] Could've done without that.

Tommy Boy (1995)

Tommy: But the Callahan factory has been in my family for seventy years. You can't just shut it down.
Ray Zalinsky: Son, you got to look at it from my point of view. Callahan's a premium name. That's what I'm buying. I can make the parts in one of my factories, put them in a Callahan box, and sell them in my stores at a premium price. Why keep your factory going when all I want's the god damn box?

Old Wounds - S1-E1

Admiral Halsey: We would have offered you a command earlier, but you haven't really inspired anyone with all that much confidence this past year.
Ed Mercer: I know. I ha... I've had some personal stuff that's been going on. It's not really worth getting into. Can I have one of these mints?
Admiral Halsey: Those are marbles.

Acafellas - S1-E3

Character mistake: Finn mentions Jim Abbott, the "one-armed" pitcher who played for the New York Yankees. Abbott is only missing his right hand, not an entire arm, nor is he limited in the mobility of the arm with the deformity.

Bushwhacked - S1-E2

Commander Harken: I notice your ship's called Serenity. You were stationed on Hera at the end of the war. Battle of Serenity Valley took place there, if I recall.
Mal: You know, I believe you might be right.
Commander Harken: Independents suffered a pretty crushing defeat there. Some say that after Serenity, the browncoats were through. That the war ended in that valley.
Mal: Hmm.
Commander Harken: Seems odd you'd name your ship after a battle you were on the wrong side of.
Mal: May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

The Mentalist (2008)

Green Thumb - S6-E10

Character mistake: When Kim is trying to convince Lisbon to help the FBI on their case, she says Jane stopped the ten-year reign of a mass murderer. Red John was a serial killer, which, by the FBI's definition, is a criminal behavior distinctly different from mass murder; he may have had a large number of victims, but he killed them either one or a couple at a time, with a cooling-off period in between, not all at once.

The First Day - S1-E2

Tom Kirkman: D.C. police called the White House switchboard, wanted to confirm that you worked here. What happened this morning?
Seth Wright: What happened in Michigan. What always happens. When people don't know who their enemy is, they start with people who look like me.
