Continuity mistake: When Alvin leads everybody to a luggage chute in the airport, he's shown wearing a blue backpack - and he appears to have lost it upon reaching the baggage carousel area. After bumping into Klaus and Claudia he manages to get away with the others, but in one of the following shots his backpack suddenly reappears strapped over his shoulders again. (01:06:35)

Continuity mistake: In the final scene where Miss Miller is sitting next to Theodore adjusting her hair in the car's busted rear-view mirror, the shot changes to Dave opening the passenger's side door. But as he steps in, Miss Miller skids away and Theodore can now be seen sitting with the other Chipmunks and Chipettes in the back seat. (01:11:30)

Continuity mistake: After Mickey and Pee-Wee evade the highway patrolman, Mickey takes a good look at Pee-Wee in the outfit and smiles. Before the scene cuts away, you can see how the convertible is missing its rear-view mirror. Soon Pee-Wee sends the car over a cliff's ledge and, as they're screaming together on the way down, a rear-view mirror is hanging from the windshield all of a sudden. But once the car hits ground, the mirror is no longer there. (00:37:40 - 00:39:00)

Continuity mistake: After Miss Miller narrowly dodges a head-on collision with Klaus and Claudia's Rolls Royce, she kicks open her door and steps out onto the highway shouting, "I hope you have insurance, buster!" In the following shot, Miss Miller walks towards the Rolls Royce - but now her door is suddenly closed. (01:09:55)

Continuity mistake: During the storm, two mice are shown playing a game of chess on a board which floats back and forth with the ship's motion. After the first mouse makes his move, it drifts across to player two. However, in the very next shot two things occur: the board's color changes from black & red to black & white, and the square pattern arrangement changes to that of a checkerboard (which means a black square is placed at the lower right hand edge of each player's side). Continuity mistake: When the Chipmunks and Chipettes are singing "The Girls of Rock n' Roll" in Athens, Alvin starts the second verse by grabbing a small 4-string harp from a nearby statue. In the very same shot he begins to strum it like a guitar, but now one of the strings is missing. Just a couple of shots later, Alvin is dancing in front of Simon & Theodore and playing the same harp - only this time it has five strings instead of three. (00:35:50)

Continuity mistake: When the Chipmunks and Chipettes are approaching an airport in their hot air balloon, Simon reaches over the side and shouts, "We're home!" Notice how he and Alvin are wearing regular long-sleeve blue and red shirts respectively. But in the next shot when Dave's plane draws near, they're now wearing exotic clothes from their trip around the world instead. (01:05:35)

Continuity mistake: When Papa's story is interrupted by the Cossack cats, some of the tableware gets knocked over and broken. But seconds later, in the shot where Fievel runs outdoors with a pot and spoon, all of the broken items reappear intact. (00:05:45 - 00:06:25)

Continuity mistake: When Alvin, Simon and Theodore first open the gates to Klaus and Claudia's mansion, two hot air balloons are visible on the right-hand side harnessed to the ground with four ropes each. But in the next shot, all of the ropes have disappeared. (00:13:45)

Continuity mistake: After Nicholas casts his final spell over the cauldron, the Care Bears are shown outside of the castle walls gathered around the rail carts. Share Bear and Tenderheart are sitting up front, but in the next shot they're both walking off of a different cart. (01:01:00)

Continuity mistake: After Pee-Wee loses the Warner Bros. security crew on his tail, he sees a burning pet shop and decides to rescue the animals inside. Take a look at the early '80s red and black Chevy Suburban parked by the entrance. Whenever Pee-Wee runs outside, the amount of sunlight cast on the vehicle changes (sometimes lots of light, very little light or none at all) as though the scene were filmed at different parts of the day, then pieced together. Continuity mistake: When Pee-Wee finds the Alamo, he is shown holding a San Antonio travel brochure. Notice how his right hand grips the bottom near a crease and his left hand holds the left side. In the next shot he lowers the brochure and starts to chuckle out loud, but now his right hand is positioned on the right side instead. (00:52:20)

Continuity mistake: In the scene where Tenderheart's cloud clipper approaches a waterfall, the other Care Bears team up to make a red balloon which carries it to safety. In the first distant view of the clipper being lifted, Lotsa Heart Elephant is standing near the helm; but in the next shot when Tenderheart says "Well done," he is now looking down below over the starboard side with Bright Heart Raccoon. Visible crew/equipment: Near the end of Pee-Wee's chase scene at the Warner Bros. studios, he activates a launch mechanism on his bike and soars over a barb wire fence onto a roof. As he shouts "Geronimo," there is a crew member on the lower right hand side of the screen sporting a pair of sunglasses in front of a platform just staring towards the camera for a few seconds (best viewed on the matted widescreen DVD release). Continuity mistake: After Cozy Heart Penguin introduces herself and jumps aboard the cloud clipper, it resumes sailing down the river and, on top of the mast, a pink banner is visible flapping in the wind. Several shots later when a whirlpool takes over, Cozy Heart says, "We're caught," but now there's no banner on the mast. (00:36:35 - 00:37:10)

Continuity mistake: When Nicholas wakes up in Fetuccini's magic trunk, an evil spirit's glowing book speaks to him from across the room saying "I know many things." He suddenly gasps with surprise and, in the following shot, lifts himself up. Between these two shots, the number of bolts fastened to the trunk changes (note the right side rear and on either edge of the lock where Nicholas' feet were hanging). (00:15:25)

Continuity mistake: When Grumpy Bear grabs the key on Dark Heart's throne, his left arm changes color from blue to orange between shots. (00:57:25)

Continuity mistake: Right before each balloon takes off for the race, Sophie is seen gnawing on a rope and behind her - on the grass next to the Chipettes' basket - a couple of wooden crates are visible. But in the following shot where the teams are in midair struggling to maneuver their balloons, no crates can be seen anywhere on the ground below. (00:15:35)

Continuity mistake: In the "Wooly Bully" scene where Alvin, Simon and Theodore are suspended on a boulder jammed with elephant tusks above alligator-infested waters, all of the ropes get torched and they eventually drop down. But when the boulder smashes the head of an unlucky gator below, notice how all of the tusks have disappeared. (01:03:55)

Continuity mistake: After Lieutenant Lennox drives away, Charley rushes over to Evil's house and begs for some vampire-related advice. He agrees to help (at a cost). As Evil is asking where the vampire will likely strike first, he runs both hands through his hair then drops them to his side. But in the following shot, Evil's hands are instantly back on top of his head again (widescreen only). (00:21:35)
