Trivia: The scene where Bella is sitting in her room, looking outside the window (after the Cullens left), if you notice her room, on the walls, there are fewer pictures of her friends and the room gets more sparse.

Twilight (2008)

Continuity mistake: In the first biology class, when Edward moves the glass petri dish over to Bella and "hides" one in his hand, a piece of paper is lying crooked between them on Bella's side of the table. In the next shot, both glass dishes are between them, and the paper is on Edward's side, and it's now vertical. (00:10:30)

Twilight (2008)

Continuity mistake: When Bella says, "Why did you hate me so much when we met?" Edward's face is very close to hers and his right hand is placed with the palm on a branch. In the next shot, his face is further away, and now it's only his fingertips which are touching the branch. (00:52:30)

Twilight (2008)

Question: When Bella is bitten by James, Jasper also comes and rescues her - by killing James - but how is it that Jasper does not react to Bella's blood? Is it because of "heat of battle?" I also think of New Moon, where she only had a paper cut (but he still freaked out).

Chosen answer: There's no definitive answer. Most likely it was because the conditions between the two scenarios were very different. When the Cullens saved Bella, Jasper was intensely focused on defeating James, exerting all his energy into killing him. He would have gone into battle knowing there could be bloodshed. He may also have not been "hungry" at the time, therefore, less affected by the scent of blood. At the birthday party, Bella cutting her finger was so totally unexpected that it caught Jasper by surprise, and he instinctively reacted to it. He still struggles with being a "vegetarian," and is constantly watched by the other Cullens.

Twilight (2008)

Continuity mistake: Just before the Cullens begin to play baseball you see Edward running away and beginning to turn around to look back at Rosalie while he is running. But in the next shot you see him walk with his back turned to "us" and then turning around to look at Rosalie. (01:16:10)

Twilight (2008)

Continuity mistake: At the baseball game you see Carlisle standing in the background with a bat when Rosalie is "up for the turn." When Bella calls her "out," he doesn't have the bat, and then he has it in his hand again. (01:16:10 - 01:17:00)

Continuity mistake: When Alice stops the baseball game by saying "stop!" Jasper is standing together with Esme and Bella, but before he was in the field (we never saw him returning to the homebase). (01:18:55)
