Rec (2007)

Corrected entry: When the crew is getting in the fire truck near the start, the camera man gets in after the presenter. Next thing, they've switched sides. There was no room for them to switch sides.

SexyIrishLeprechaun

Correction: There is enough room for them to switch sides and plenty of time for them to do so in between shots.

Mean Girls (2004)

Corrected entry: In the canteen when the different groups are being described to Lindsay Lohan, the music being played is the theme music from Futurama. The composer of this film, Chris Tyng, also composed for Futurama.

SexyIrishLeprechaun

Correction: Christopher Tyng did not work on Mean Girls. (See his imdb pages). The composer for Mean Girls was Rolfe Kent. The song in the scene and the Futurama theme song are both based on the same song: Pierre Henry - Psyche Rock. Mean Girls uses the Fatboy Slim Malpase Remix.

Casino Royale (2006)

Corrected entry: In the final fight, in the house in Venice, a bad guy shoots a nail gun at Bond. Nail guns use safety catches that prevent them from firing unless pressed firmly against a surface. Although this safety can (on some models) be pulled back to allow a nail to fire, this is never shown to be the case, and since the gun was picked up from a construction site it can't have been modified by the bad guys.

SexyIrishLeprechaun

Correction: Not all nail guns have these safety features. At least in Holland these are available, and so presumably also in Venice, which is also in Europe.

Intermission (2003)

Corrected entry: The public bus service in Dublin is called Dublin Bus. However, none of the buses in the film are Dublin Bus buses (obviously, they probably thought showing a Dublin Bus crash would damage the reputation). (Having said that, the vehicle that passes Mr. Henderson right at the end IS a Dublin Bus bus).

SexyIrishLeprechaun

Correction: This isn't exactly true. While the main bus service in Dublin is called Dublin Bus, there are several private operators working the various routes since the public transport system was deregulated. So the bus used in the film could very well have been one of those.

Corrected entry: The events at the end of this film are supposed to have happened at Three Mile Island, which occurred in 1979. Yet in X-Men, Professor X says it's been "fifteen years since your memory loss". X-Men takes place in the "near future" and was released in 2000.

SexyIrishLeprechaun

Correction: Perhaps because of Wolverines healing factor. Professor X could not get an exact date. Also, we dont know what else Wolverine has been through before he met the Professor.

Jumper (2008)

Corrected entry: When David meets Millie in the bar she works in, there's a big match on (I think Green Bay are playing). At one point, an RB makes a sweep and takes a big hit, which the crowd "oohs" about. The next shot is a replay of this event, but this time, the crowd cheers loudly, as if something new had just happened.

SexyIrishLeprechaun

Correction: After watching the scene several times there are two different events that happen on the TV. The first time the running back is hit out of bounds at the 10 yard line and the second time he scores a touchdown.

Angels & Demons (2009)

Corrected entry: Contrary to what the movie suggests, cold temperatures improve battery life. The correct storage temperature for batteries is a cool temperature.

SexyIrishLeprechaun

Correction: It is true that batteries hold their charge longer when stored at cool temperatures. However, when a battery is discharged at a cool temperature, it is used up much faster than at a warmer temperature. This is noticeable with cell phones and digital cameras, which have a markedly shorter battery life when used in cold environments. In the movie, the battery was being discharged at a cold temperature, so it was used up more rapidly than usual.

The Protector (2005)

Correction: Having been soundly defeated, they both made hasty retreats while Jaa's attention (and therefore the camera's) was focused elsewhere, namely on the newly arrived opponent.

Phixius

The Simpsons (1989)

Correction: While Northern Ireland is part of the UK, the laws differ slightly between Northern Ireland, Scotland, England and Wales, so therefore what he said is true.

Correction: Ninjas are Japanese, not Chinese, therefore Alex could not have been fighting against a Ninja.

My Name Is Earl (2005)

Correction: Earl doesn't tell Randy to do "Number One", he tells Randy he's chosen "the first one" of the tasks that Randy must do.

Ugly Betty (2006)

Show generally

Corrected entry: In the second episode of season 2, Amanda tricks Bradford into giving her his hair for DNA samples. However, she goes in with a buzz clipper, which only trims the hair and DNA is only available in the root of the hair, so she couldn't have gotten DNA from him.

SexyIrishLeprechaun

Correction: You CAN use hairs for DNA-testing, but it will only be mitochondrial DNA (DNA inherited from the mother) so it won't be much good.

Lost (2004)

Lockdown - S2-E17

Corrected entry: When Jack is playing cards with Sawyer, Sawyer deals too many cards to Jack. He deals him two, and then deals him at least one more. Neither said anything and they were going to play with them, and they're both au fait with the rules, so it's not a character mistake.

SexyIrishLeprechaun

Correction: They never specify that they're playing Texas Hold'Em. They could be playing one of the variants, like Omaha, Pineapple, or Crazy Pineapple, where players DO get more than 2 cards.

The Island (2005)

Corrected entry: You can't fire a nail gun like Jordan did the first time she fires it in the train station. For safety, they have to be pressed against something.

SexyIrishLeprechaun

Correction: It's 14 years in the future, who knows what kind of nail gun they may have by then?

Corrected entry: When Greg is speaking at the party at the end, the champagne glass is in different hands in different shots and then is not there at all before it reappears. It wasn't in his hand when he got up to speak and the level of the liquid changes as well. (01:27:25)

SexyIrishLeprechaun

Correction: Although Greg is waving the glass around, it always stays in his left hand. The only time it shows Greg with no glass is when he walks up to the stage, his hands are empty. Bernie, who is already on the stage, holds up a champagne glass. As Bernie walks back to the table, his hands are empty. Thus, he could have given his champagne to Greg. They show Bernie & Greg hugging on the stage without any glasses in their hand, but Bernie could have sat his glass down while he hugged Greg and then given it to him. It is not a continous shot and after the hug, they show Bernie walking back to the table, empty handed, to sit down. The one shot where it shows Greg on stage with no glass is only from the waist up so Greg could have been holding the glass down low out of frame.

Luna Negra

Correction: Actually, you can see Jack move his hand down from Jorge's shoulder to the middle of his back where it stays. They shoot the scene in front of Jack and behind him but once his hand moves to Jorge's back it stays there, except for one shot. In that shot, they show Greg and so it could be logically that Jack moved his hand up back up to Jorge's shoulder for a second and then back down again.

Luna Negra

Corrected entry: When the Fockers and the Byrnes are arguing after the baby glues his hand to the rum bottle, Jack yells something about celebrating mediocrity and gestures at Kate. It's the other hand that's gesturing in the next shot. (01:09:40)

SexyIrishLeprechaun

Correction: Jack actually keeps his left hand on his hip and gestures the whole time with his right. It doesn't change. In one shot they show just a hand but it is still the right hand. He also is gesturing at Roz.

The Island (2005)

Corrected entry: When the Lincolns are driving to the TV station, the clone stamps on the brake and skids out over the white line. When the copter comes down, it's further back.

SexyIrishLeprechaun

Correction: There is nothing in the shot that we are able to know if he backed up or not. There is nothing in the movie that we can use as a focus point. There is nothing visible from the windows. When we see the overshot we see that there are skid marks, which indicates he moved back.

James Storck

Correction: Maybe the Smiths destroyed the lights to make the elevator darker, making them harder to spot when the elevator doors opened and the enemies started shooting at them.

The Island (2005)

Corrected entry: Clones do not have the same fingerprints as each other. Identical twins are clones because they are derived from the same egg, but they still don't have the same prints.

SexyIrishLeprechaun

Correction: It is true that identical twins do not have the exact same fingerprints. However, they are very, very close. I am an identical twin. I have a safety deposit box at a bank that requires a thumbprint scan to open it. My brother can open it too.
