50 First Dates

Continuity mistake: When Henry is leaving the dock, Alexa waves with her right hand. Notice the watch. When Alexa grabs some butt from Doug, The watch is now on left arm. (01:23:10)

Continuity mistake: When Drew is in her car at the restaurant, chastising Adam Sandler for faking not knowing how to read, a truck with the "Spam" logo drives by. The DVD commentary states the logo was added digitally later. When Adam's character runs back to his car, the logo is not on the truck anymore. (00:37:10 - 00:38:20)

Jack's Revenge

Continuity mistake: The dark roots of Lucy's hair can be seen off and on throughout the movie. One day she will have dark roots, and the next day she won't.

Trivia: Lucy's doctor mentions that their hospital is funded by T.B. Callahan Auto Industries, a reference to "Tommy Boy" Callahan, a major character from "Tommy Boy" (1995).

Trivia: When Henry (Adam Sandler) is at the golf course with Ula and his kids, everyone except Henry is teeing off in the same style as Happy Gilmore (also played by Sandler) in "Happy Gilmore" (1996). When Henry sees this, he replies, "That is the dumbest thing I have ever seen."

Nick: Hey, Mr. Peanut Butter Cups.
Henry: Hey, Mr. Could-Kill-Me-In-One-Punch.

Henry: Ula! Get back to cleaning the pool! And if that's one of your special brownies, don't let any of the dolphins eat that.
Ula: How do you think I get the dolphins to do double-flips and play with the white kids?

Dr. Keats: Little Sammy Sosa's a bit shook up, but she'll be okay. She's watching the tape as we speak.
Henry: Good. How's my temporal lobe looking there, Doc?
Dr. Keats: Don't worry. You're not gonna suffer any short term memory loss. But was your head shaped like an egg before she hit you?
Doug: Hey! Don't make fun of Henry, all right? It'th not hith fault hith head'th thaped like that.
Dr. Keats: Note the intense overreaciton. That's the 'roids talking.

Question: What would happen if Lucy stayed up all night and she was with Henry? Would she all of a sudden forget him or would it happen very slowly?

leyesalot82789

Chosen answer: Apparently, she loses all her daily memories when she enters a full sleep, so keeping her awake would have given them a chance to see each other for longer periods.

Joshua Skains

Then my question is what about the naps during the day that she takes?

Naps would reset her brain like any other sleep.

Question: If Lucy's father was the one that gave Henry the Beach Boys CD, how could Henry take that as a sign that Lucy remembers him?

Matty Blast

Chosen answer: Lucy's father previously told Henry that she only sings on days that she meets him - then you see a flash of her painting in the garage, singing a Beach Boys song. Right before he hands Henry the Beach Boys CD, he tells him that she's even singing again. Henry realized as he listened to CD - maybe if she is singing again, she is thinking of him, hence, remembering him. (It happens to be the same song that she was singing in the garage that's playing on the boat when Henry turns around to go back. It's called 'Wouldn't It Be Nice').

Why wouldn't the father just tell him directly "hey she's been painting and singing again, so she probably might remember you"

Question: When Henry and Lucy are getting intimate and Henry sees the two dolphins in the tank watching, he calls them Mary Kate and Ashley. I know who they are but why does he refer to them like this?

Answer: Probably because it was the dolphins' names. Someone probably thought the dolphins looked alike and that it would be funny if they were named after the famous twins.
