Continuity: When Mike is playing football on the field, he scores a touchdown, and throws the football down. Then it cuts away to the kids complaining, then back to Mike, and the lost football is in his hand. It cuts to a larger view of the scene, and where's the football? The camera cuts away again, and then back to Mike and his team. The football is once again in Mike's hand.

Continuity: Chris Farley and David Spade are driving in a borrowed police car. When the camera is on Spade, the window is not open, then it is open a bit, then it is closed again.

When Chris Farley is playing football with the kids and they're in the huddle, he says the play is "32 belly option on 2, on 2". In Tommy Boy when Chris and Rob Lowe go cow tipping, Chris gets down and says, "It's a 32 belly option on 2, on 2".

This was not the first time that Chris Farley and David Spade had teamed up for a movie. Tommy Boy was a cult classic and featured them driving around in a car that bares a striking resemblance to the car that Mike Donnoly owns in this movie.
