Trivia: In the end credits, an actor is credited as playing Young Ruafo. There are no scenes in the film which this character appears, this is a scene cut from the film, but they forgot to erase the credit. The explanation is that young Ruafo was filmed in the original Insurrection ending, before producers decided on a different (more action based) death for Ruafo and so had him burn on the exploding ship.

Trivia: The original script for Star Trek 9 called for Picard to face off against an old friend of his from the academy called Duffy who had defected to the Romulan Empire.

Trivia: There is a scene in the film where Baku people are running to the caves, or something like that. In the original cut of the film, some actors where chewing gum. The director and producer decided it didn't make them look scared, so they filmed than shot again, and it cost about one hundred thousand dollars.

Garlonuss

Answer: The reference is from Disney's Song of the South. A group of children listen to a old man's tall tales of a dumb Rabbit and Bear.

Question: If the shields on the collector were down while Data was flying the Captain's Launch, why not use that ship to destroy the collector?

jbrbbt

Chosen answer: Probably because the best he'd be able to do is damage the collector, not destroy it.

JC Fernandez

Question: In the scene near the end, fighting in the super structure, Picard doesn't seem to have a com device (no jacket). How would that work when Riker contacted him?

Answer: The station itself has a communication system. The Enterprise can use that to communicate with Picard.
