Soldier

Continuity mistake: During the final fight between Cain and Todd, Todd breaks Cain's arm at the elbow and wrist. In the next shot Cain is staggering backwards as Todd winds up for another blow. You can clearly see that Cain's arm is fine and resting comfortably at his side. (01:24:13)

Character mistake: After killing three of the 'new' soldiers, Todd says that there are seventeen left. He then kills about another thirty.

Continuity mistake: When the green snake slithers towards the boy, Todd throws a boot at the boys feet so the boy can hit the snake with it. The boy looks at Todd who motions the boy to hit it. The next shot shows the boys feet again, but no boot.

Trivia: When Sargent Todd's combat and military record appears on screen, just before the title "between wars" is shown, you can see his different decorations. They refer to Kurt Russell's acting roles: "Plissken patch" (from "Escape from New York/LA"), "McReady" ("The Thing"), "Cash Medal of Bravery" from "Tango and Cash", and "O'Neil Ring Award" from "Stargate" where he played Jack O'Neil.

Trivia: When the veterans are shown leaving the ship to go and set up an outpost on Arcadia, in the foreground you can see a nameplate on some debris. It says "Lewis", from the Lewis and Clark ship in Event Horizon, another Paul WS Anderson movie.
