Other mistake: In the retyped ending credits for the English dub, during the shot of Ash and his friends watching the sunset, many sections previously listed in the credits are listed again, such as 'Animation Camera Shooting Staff' and 'Foley Artist', including many of the same individuals and companies. Additionally, later in the same shot, Continental Far East Inc. and Tokyo TV Center are misspelt as 'Continental Fal East Inc.' and 'Tokio TV Center', respectively. (01:12:58)
Other mistake: In the retyped ending credits of the English dub, one of the sections is titled 'Chief Animatior', but spells animator as 'animatior'. Shortly after, Anime World is spelled as 'Animaworld'. (01:12:46)
Character mistake: One of the other trainers said he rode over on a Pidgeotto, but it was a Pidgeot. (00:40:07)
Character mistake: As Team Rocket discovers the cloning machine made by Mewtwo, they start naming the shadows of each Pokemon as they appear on the screen. As the first Pokemon appears on screen, they say "Alakazam" but it is actually an outline of "Scyther" who is a different type of Pokemon.
Continuity mistake: In Pikachu's Vacation, when Pikachu and the rest of his friends are pulling Charizard's head out, the rope that they use was not there during the previous shots.
Other mistake: Meowth calls one particular Pokémon in the test tube-thing a Sandshrew, however it is a Sandslash. This is a dubbing error, as Nyasu (Meowth's Japanese name) correctly identifies the Pokémon as a Sandopan (Sandslash's Japanese name) in the original Japanese version. (00:58:26)
Continuity mistake: When Ash & co. are in the boat with Team Rocket (who's dressed as Vikings), watch Brock's shirt sleeve (The one away from Misty) when Misty puts Togepi inside her knapsack. It goes from a dark orange to green (the same color as Brock's vest) for a few frames before turning back. (00:33:26)
Continuity mistake: When Brock looks at the picture of Nurse Joy, in the closeup of the picture Brock casts a shadow on it, but in the previous shot he didn't.
Continuity mistake: When Fergus goes to Gyarados after Mewtwo reflects its Hyper Beam, you can see the back of a Nidoking, but Fergus has a Nidoqueen. (00:43:23)
Audio problem: When Ash receives the letter from the Dragonite, we hear Togepi say "Togepi?" but its mouth doesn't move.
Other mistake: In Mewtwo Strikes Back, when the pirate trainer sends out Machamp (the four-armed Pokémon), the animation of it appearing is shown twice. Also, the sound effect that plays when a Pokémon appears isn't played the second time. There was a small section cut out of Ash throwing Squirtle's Poké Ball in the air. That was replaced with Machamp coming out twice.
Other mistake: When "We're A Miracle" appears in the retyped ending credits of the English dub, Todd Chapman's surname is misspelled as "Champan." Also, RCA Record Label is misspelled as "RCA record Label." (01:13:29)
Other mistake: When Giovanni says, "Learn to use them to accomplish your purpose," Mewtwo's left arm is missing. Also, there are no cables connected to the back of the left shoulder piece of its armour, but in the next shot, there are. (00:17:03)
Character mistake: When "If Only Tears Could Bring You Back" appears in the retyped ending credits of the English dub, Mewtwo Music is misspelled as "MewTwo Music" and "Newtwo Music" with courtesy misspelled as "couresy." Also, Lissome Music is misspelled as "lissome Music" with Connotation Music misspelled as "connotation Music." (01:13:33)
Factual error: When New Island's reflection is in a window on Giovanni's helicopter, it is not reversed. (00:15:19)
Other mistake: When "Catch Me If You Can" appears in the retyped ending credits of the English dub, Brian M Steckler has his first name misspelled as "Briand." Continuity mistake: When Mewtwo begins to make the storm, his hand is pink. But in the later shot while he's making the storm, it's greyish purple again.
Continuity mistake: When Officer Jenny speaks after Fergus puts his right foot forward, the clothes and accessories of some people change. (00:31:08)
Continuity mistake: When Ash says, "Wow!" the bowl of fruit changes as well as a cup changing from being on right of it to the left of it. (00:40:25)
Other mistake: In the first part of the retyped ending credits for the English dub with songs, published is misspelled as "publisher" with produced misspelled as "producerd." Also, Cherry River Music Co. Is misspelled as "Cherry River Kusic Co." Additionally, Elektra Entertainment Group is misspelled as "Elektrica Entertainment Group." (01:13:19)
Suggested correction: As explained in the DVD commentary, Team Rocket don't know everything about Pokemon. They thought it was an Alakazam though.
