Mistake Deliberate "mistake": When Jar Jar gets arrested in the Gungan city, in the second shot of Jar Jar and Obi-Wan, Obi-Wan and a part of the floor behind him are reversed. This can be seen, for example, because two of the red areas on the floor have switched positions, and Obi-Wan's braid and lightsabre are on the wrong side.

Mistake Revealing: When Qui-Gon is attacked by Darth Maul for the first time, he escapes by leaping onto his ship which quickly takes off. As they zoom up into space, he discusses the mystery attacker with Obi-Wan. However, the lighting from outside the windows never changes giving the impression that they are static on a set rather than whizzing up into space.

Mistake Continuity: In the scene in the podracer hangar after the Podrace, the existence and position of the people and objects keeps changing between shots.

Mistake Continuity: After Qui-Gon is struck by Darth Maul's lightsabre, he drops down, and his lightsabre is lying on the floor. In the shot where Maul turns around to face Obi-Wan, the sabre is not lying in the same place as before (seen from the colours of the floor), and the activation button faces upwards, which it didn't do in the previous shot. In the next shot of Qui-Gon, his lightsabre is now closer to him than in the previous shot.

Mistake Continuity: When Darth Maul is killed and begins to fall, he is holding his lightsabre, but when we see him falling down the pit, no lightsabre is falling through the air.

Mistake Deliberate "mistake": When Obi-Wan is fighting Darth Maul alone, after Obi-Wan cuts Maul's lightsabre in half, they start fighting on a different side of the pit. But after Maul kicks him, a close-up of Obi-Wan shows the wall and smoke of the area that they left. The shot has been reversed as well. The easiest way to see this is to watch his braid, which is on the wrong side.

Mistake Continuity: When Captain Tarpals gives Jar Jar a zap with his power pole, the fish and the appearance, size and position of some of the bubble building outside the membrane change between shots.

Mistake Continuity: As Obi-Wan is looking up at Darth Maul and Qui-Gon, they are fighting in the middle of the walkway. When Obi-Wan jumps up, they are at the doorway at the end of the walkway. They couldn't have reached the end of the walkway that quickly.

Mistake Revealing: When the Gungan army set up their shield at the Naboo plains, you see the Trade Federation tanks coming over the hill. When the camera turns to behind the tanks, you see the bottom of one of the beige tanks disappear slowly.

Mistake Continuity: In the shot where Qui-Gon introduces himself to Anakin's mother, Jar Jar, Padmé, R2-D2 and Anakin are standing half a metre to the left (your right) of where they were standing in the previous shot.

Mistake Continuity: When the queen is being escorted by some droids after she has been captured, there is a shot of Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon watching the queen from a balcony. The shot shows the queen passing by them. Qui-Gon then takes a few steps and is somehow very far ahead of the queen and the droids. They didn't use the force run because Jar-Jar was right up with them.

Mistake Continuity: During the funeral pyre scene, the folds in Obi-Wan's hood change between consecutive shots.

Mistake Continuity: During the Podrace, Anakin's face alternates between being dirty and being clean several times.

Mistake Continuity: After Darth Maul falls off the walkway, Qui-Gon jumps down after him, and there are several vertical beams behind them. In the next shot, they have suddenly moved past them, but in the following shot, they are fighting in front of the beams again.

Mistake Revealing: When Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan are being gassed, Nute Gunray's hologram says, "Destroy what's left of them." After he says this, watch the battle droid on the left side of the screen closest to the hologram. One of its fingers goes through the barrel of the gun it's holding.

Mistake Continuity: As someone else has noted, Obi-Wan's braid changes sides a few times in the movie. In the first scene with Jar Jar, his braid stays on the correct side of his head, but after he says, "If they find us, they will crush us" it goes from hanging in front of his shoulder to hanging behind it.

Mistake Continuity: Before Anakin says goodbye to his mother, she is standing in sunlight next to the hut. As Anakin runs back, she is standing in shadow. When he reaches her, the area is covered by sunlight again.

Mistake Continuity: When Anakin says goodbye to his mother, his shirt collar keeps moving up and down his neck between shots. The easiest way to see this is to watch his necklace, which is more covered up by his shirt in some shots than others.

Mistake Revealing: During the race, Anakin's clothes don't move in some shots, even though he's going at an extremely high speed.

Mistake Visible crew/equipment: In the Boardroom in Otoh Gunga, as Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon turn to leave, you can see Obi-Wan's lapel mic just inside his tunic.
