Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the concert, the conductor's hair is combed smooth, flipping up in back. When Mysto appears under the stage to freeze the conductor, the conductor's hair is now shaggy and does not flip up in back.

Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the concert, look at the baton the conductor is holding. You can see that the baton is thin with a pointed end, but before Mysto freezes the conductor with his magic wand in the next shot, the baton is wider and has a tip at the end of it.

Continuity mistake: When Mysto introduces himself to Poochini after he comes out of his dressing room during a rehearsal, the collar on Mysto's shirt disappears briefly.

Continuity mistake: When Mysto opens the door and goes through the Stage Entrance at the beginning of the short, beside the door there is a poster of The Great Poochini singing. When we see Mysto looking at the poster a little later after Poochini threw him out in the alleyway, a conductor has now appeared.

Continuity mistake: When Mysto asks Poochini if he got the job, Mysto's coat is buttoned up. After Mysto is thrown out by Poochini, he realises his magic wand can pass it off as a conductor's baton. At this point, Mysto's coat is undone and the button is missing, but when he goes to the promotional poster outside the door, the coat is buttoned again.

Continuity mistake: When we first see Mysto the Magician at the start of the cartoon, the coat he is wearing is brown. When he enters the stage entrance and walks towards Poochini's dressing room, his coat is red.

Trivia: During the show, there is a hair that gets caught in the projector that is removed by Poochini before continuing his performance. The joke was so realistic that many projectionists attempted to remove the hair themselves, not realising that it was part of the cartoon.
