Continuity: When Phillip crawls under the fence the barbed wire tears the lower part of his costume, whereas in the next shot the tear starts at the shoulder. When Butch sends him back to his mom, the costume is totally torn up in the back for no specific reason.
Continuity: When Butch and Phillip go past the police trailer Sally spots the Casper costume. In this shot the relative movement of both vehicles is shown far too slow.
Continuity: After Phillip gets knocked over by Terry he gets up twice in shots from the front and from behind.
Visible crew/equipment: When Butch pulls up at the farmhouse where he is going to steal the Ford, a camera is reflected in the side window behind Butch.
Continuity: When Butch kidnaps Phillip he grabs him with his left hand, holding his gun in the right hand. When he leaves the house Phillip and the gun have switched places.
Continuity: When the police check Terry's body the corn is significantly higher than in the chase scene, where even little Phillip had to crawl on his knees for cover.
Continuity: When Phillip crawls through the cornfield the gun disappears from his hand for one shot.
Continuity: When Phillip drives the Ford across the meadow the way he pushes the pedals doesn't match the engine sound and the movement of the car.
