Factual error: Leroy says to Fool, "Y'all are being evicted, you gotta be out tomorrow at midnight." California law (the movie was filmed in and thus presumably takes place in Los Angeles) requires landlords to give 30 days notice to evict.

These mistakes are currently being ordered by time. Entries without times will appear at the end.
Directed by Wes Craven, starring Ving Rhames (add more)
Audio problem: When the Man and Woman are talking in front of the fire about evicted Fool's family, when the Woman says "And the money" in a side shot, her mouth/jaw doesn't move.
Continuity: When Leroy is in the kitchen talking to Ruby and Fool, the position of the map in his shirt pocket changes a few times in the scene.
Continuity: When Fool first arrives at the house, dressed as a bear trooper, the whole lawn is sunny and bright. In the next shot the house casts a huge shadow over the lawn, making it dark.
Continuity: When Fool goes over and starts throwing rocks into the pond, the brown paper bag beside his foot keeps moving between shots.
Continuity: When Leroy breaks into the back door of the house, the door has nothing on it, yet in the next shot from inside the house as they enter, the glass panels on the door are covered in ivy.
Continuity: When Leroy barricades the metal door, her uses a mop. He puts the mop inside a drawer, and the mop head hangs out of the drawer. Later on when the Woman and Man come back, we can now see the mop head is tucked inside the drawer.
Continuity: When Fool and Leroy first encounter Prince, they secure him in the room beside the kitchen, with the door to the outside closed. Yet when Mummy and Daddy return, the dog somehow has managed to get out of the super-secure house to greet them.
Continuity: When Fool turns the TV around to look at it, in the cellar, he is wearing a plaster on his thumb. In the next shot when he runs away up the stairs, it has gone, and never returns.
Continuity: When Fool falls downstairs, the hatch in the door is open (and sunlight streams through it) but when Roach chases after him and Fool runs back up again, the hatch is now closed.
Continuity: When Roach runs up the cellar stairs after Fool, and grabs his feet, we see one of Roach's fingernails fall off. In the next shot the nail has vanished from the floor and isn't seen.
Continuity: The items on the corner of the couch (cushion, throw, etc.) keep changing position as Prince first goes to attack Leroy.
Revealing: When Leroy is attacked by Prince for the second time, it is very obvious that it is a stunt double.
Revealing: When Prince attacks Leroy, in some shots it is quite apparent that Prince is just a stuffed animal.
Continuity: After Leroy grabs Fool by the shirt and orders him to stand in the middle of the room to attract Prince, the position of his ruffled shirt (from where Leroy grabbed it) differs from shots.
Factual error: When the Man cocks his gun to pursue Leroy and Fool, Leroy refers to the gun as an "automatic." The gun was actually a semi-automatic handgun.
Continuity: When Alice talks to Fool in the bathroom about not speaking, hearing or seeing any evil, a tear rolls down her cheek but in the next shot it's gone.
Visible crew/equipment: When the police car pulls up to inquire about the van, in a side shot of the car you can see a crew-member reflected in the back window.
Plot hole: The Man goes completely trigger happy shooting all the walls all around his house, trying to kill Fool, Leroy, and Roach at different points. The police come in and don't notice anything wrong. What about the bullet holes all over the place?
Revealing: When Fool fall off of the edge of the bathtub it is quite obviously a taller stunt double used instead.
