Revealing mistake: After the tank runs over one of the army jeeps in the crash you can see a dummy.

Continuity mistake: During Brian's jump over the bridge debris, the Ford leans forward pretty far and is still rolling forward by the time the shot cuts. When he touches down, the angle of the car is a lot less steep. (01:28:00)

Other mistake: When Hobbs and Letty jump from the plane they jump down to the car, but earlier when Shaw's girlfriend fell out of the door she was blown backwards, this should apply to Hobbs and Letty too.

Factual error: There is no way that a 1 ton car suspended from a wire loosely twisted around the barrel would stop a 70 ton tank going at least 60 miles an hour dead in its tracks, let alone flip it end over nose.

Plot hole: At the end of the film Shaw and Dom drive their cars onto the plane and the pilot says they are too heavy to take off, but Shaw's team consisted of an extra car, which the plane was clearly prepared to take off with.

Factual error: In the scene of Paul Walker getting off a plane in an orange prison jumpsuit escorted by U. S. Marshals, the jackets worn by the Marshals have the misspelling "Marshall" printed on them. (00:56:45)

Freddy Kreuger

Plot hole: There is not enough time for Dom's team to prep the cars for Europe that Parker brought at auction, adding winches and roll cages etc.

Factual error: The range rover has a UK 'PE60 EKJ' number plate indicating it's a late 2010 car. It's a 2002-2005 model. (00:48:00)

Continuity mistake: When Shaw orders the driver to take the tank to the other side, the tank swerves to the left and just as the camera changes you can see the tracks stop. In the next shot though it is still traveling at speed. (01:26:00)

Continuity mistake: When Dom and Letty are talking on the start line ready for their race, Dom's right arm is either on the passenger seat or down depending on the shot. (01:03:20)

Visible crew/equipment: When Letty and Dom are racing through London, you can see crowd control fences along quite a few of the sidewalks, especially when they are at Picadilly Circus. (01:07:40)

Factual error: None of the cargo on the plane at the end is strapped down - the cars and crates, boxes etc in the middle of the cargo hold. The plane would not even taxi like that, let alone take off.

Revealing mistake: When Letty slides her Interceptor around the statue during her race with Dom, you can see skidmarks on the ground from previous attempts. (01:06:00)

Continuity mistake: After the race between Dom and Letty, they pull over and start to talk. The lights from Dom's car go from on to off and then on again.

Other mistake: Hobbs asks to see all footage from "in and around Waterloo station." The technician is then asked to "bring up cameras 58 through 62." 5 cameras to cover the entirety of that area is laughable.

Jon Sandys

Continuity mistake: When we first see Brian with his wife and baby he hands him the toy car. The baby holds a stuffed monkey in his right hand but a shot later he is grabbing the car.

Continuity mistake: Hobbs' jeep drives past the blockade on the bridge as seen in the wide shot. In the close-up it's meters behind and it drives past it again.

Continuity mistake: After the first big action sequence in London, the gang meets back in their HQ to discuss the next course of action. During this scene, Gina Carano has her hands hooked into her belt/pockets, when during various camera changes, she's got her hands around her in a hugging motion, then back to her belt/pockets. (00:35:00)

Continuity mistake: When the movie ends and they're saying grace, Jack the baby turns 180° around between shots.

Roman Pearce: Better hide your baby oil.
Luke Hobbs: Better hide that big-ass forehead.

Question: Han's death, seen in Tokyo Drift, is seen here, tying up the threads and the jumping timeline leading into Furious 7. Was it always an option to re-feature that down the line to unite all the movies, or as more sequels were made did the makers just realise there was an opportunity to make use of the event?

Jon Sandys

Chosen answer: The most logical answer would be that quite a lot of people liked the character Han. Since he dies at the end of "Tokyo Drift" the filmmakers probably came up with the idea of having the movie take place after all the other ones, so as to feature Han in more sequels.
