Corrected entry: When the rebels find the message in Hauser's mind, Cohaagen and his men appear almost immediately. The rebel base is supposedly miles from civilization in a poisoned city. Plus the signal in Hauser's head was the signal the revealed Mathias' location. It should have taken hours for them to arrive.

Correction: There's nothing to suggest Quaid/Hauser wasn't being followed. They were nearby the whole time and ready to enter once it was confirmed he was with Mathias. When the message played, it was just a classic villain move of letting someone know they're about to attack, not the moment Cohaagen found out their location.

Corrected entry: In the scene where Hauser and Melina are running through the elevator shafts, as Lori attempts to enter the shaft, one of her synthetics is destroyed by an elevator, thus leaving her with 2 of the original 3 synthetics. Just before the one of the synthetics hooks on to the bottom of the elevator to follow Hauser and Melina, there are 3 synthetics with Lori. Where did the extra one come from?

Correction: If you watch the scene again, you'll see there were 4 synthetics with her to start, not 3. And when she says "go" to one of the synthetics, it takes off and there are 3 more behind her.

Corrected entry: Hauser did not have to have his memories erased and become Quaid. He was already trusted by Melina before becoming Quaid and he was already set to meet with Matthias. Then, after needlessly giving his top agent the memories of a factory worker, the Chancellor pairs Quaid with his number two agent, Lori, yet keeps her in the dark about the Quaid/Hauser connection - even though the goal should be for Lori to let the other side find Quaid.

Correction: Hauser found out about the Chancellor's plan and wasn't going to kill Matthias, so despite having a meeting set up, it was against the Chancellor's plan. And once Lori found out who Quaid was (during the phone call that we didn't hear), she said Hauser was suppose to be dead. So she was left out of the loop for a number of things, she was to focus on the mission, not the person.

Corrected entry: Regarding Craft 4605-FP . After Quaid flies the craft to the Fall he is assigned to Hangar Bay 3 (this is on "top" of the Fall). When the Fall arrives at the Colony, the "top" is now the "bottom". Melina takes command of Craft 4605-FP to help Quaid and to escape. How did Craft 4605-FP get from a hangar bay on one end of the Fall to the other?

Correction: The helicopters all have the same number, 4605 being the make or model number and FP identifying it as Federal Police. You'll notice this best during the escape from the police towards the end, both helicopters (one taken by the chancellor and one by Quaid) are labelled 4605 FP.

Corrected entry: After killing Matthias, Cohaagen and Lori climb into a white-colored kind of helicopter with the number 4605 on the tail, but when Hauser brakes free and exits the train station, he climbs into a helicopter with the same numbers, only this time it's black! This could be because they only produced one real-live sized model of the ship and used it for both shots, only digitally changing the color.

Correction: Firstly both vehicles are white on top and black on the bottom, as are all the other police helicopters in the film. Regarding the number on the side, given the mass production of machines in the film it is likely to be a model number just as you would get for a TV or phone for example. The helicopter is model 4605 FP or 4605 Federal Police.

Corrected entry: When Jessica Biel starts shooting the robots from the flying vehicle, briefly, the windshield is shown cracked. This is the place where, moments later, the black robot tries to break into the vehicle.

Correction: The cracks in the windshield of the helicopter are on her right (roughly 40 degrees to the right of centre); the black robot jumps on it from the left and punches through (about 80 degrees left of centre); the difference in the angle is enough for the distance between the crack and the robot's punch to be approximately 4 feet - which puts the crack about 2 feet off-screen when we see the robot punch through. So it's still there, just not in the frame.

Corrected entry: In the beginning we learned the trip through the core on "The Fall" takes 17 minutes. But when Doug sneaked inside The Fall, he set some explosives when the giant elevator starts to move. He set the timer on 15 minutes, so the whole thing should explode two minutes before it reach the colony. To make the situation worse, Doug opened the emergency hatch which cause the lift to "slow down" even more, making it harder to reach the other side in time.

Kevin Ericon

Correction: He could have started the countdown 2 mins into the fall. The slowing down had nothing to do with Quaid opening the hatch. This happened because it passed the middle, otherwise it would just fly out when it got to the end of the fall.

Corrected entry: In the scene where Collin Farrell is running from his fake girlfriend the hover cars go over him without hurting him or even creating wind but later in the scene when he turns off the magnet and they fall, the force from the hover car crushes a traditional car.

Correction: Colin would not have been hurt or crushed by the magnetically driven cars because his body is not made of metal. The car could have been crushed because of the fall which was stopped when a very strong force was exerted above it.

Factual error: The movement of "the fall" as depicted in the movie is utterly impossible. The distance between the Colony and the Federation is about 6 000 miles, and the trip takes 17 minutes. This means that the fall would have to travel at an average speed of 20 000 miles per hour, or faster than the space shuttle in earth orbit! Given that it accelerates at the start and decelerates at the end the maximum speed would be even higher, and the acceleration required would be considerably more than 1G. Not only does the fall move at much slower speeds in all the scenes showing its movement but this speed would only be possible in a vacuum, which is not the case since people actually move outside the fall while it is moving.

Suggested correction: The fall transport thing would actually make the passengers feel zero G force as they will be falling at the same rate and when falling objects accelerate. Another fact is that when an object gets closer to the core of a planet it will have a greater acceleration due to the law of gravity. The equation is (gravitational acceleration) = (gravitational constant) multiplied by (mass of planet) divided by (distance from centre of mass or core as it's called) squared. The earth's core is liquid due to the density of the iron which is the result of the massive acceleration due to gravity at that distance from the core. If a person were to fall from one side of earth to the other it would only take 42 minutes to travel the 12,800km.

That would still be an average speed over the whole journey of 18,286 Km/h (11,785 mph). Slower at the ends, faster during the middle section.

Question: At the end of the movie Colin Farrel checks his arm and sees that the mark they put when he was sitting in the "recall" chair was gone. Does this mean this was all a dream? I mean, the "spy recall" that he wanted?

Answer: The absence of the tattoo on Quaid's arm hints that the whole scenario could have been a memory, brought on by Rekall.
