The Rum Diary

Continuity mistake: Right after Sanderson hands Kemp the itinerary for the next day's events, Sanderson places a pen and a glass ashtray directly on top of the folder lying on the table in front of him. In the next shot, the ashtray is covering only a small portion of the corner of the folder, and the pen is lying beside it.

Factual error: Near the end of the movie, when they go to steal the boat, there is a Puerto Rican flag in the front of the boat. This flag has the royal blue triangle, instead of the light blue that would have been in the 1960's such as all the other big flags used on poles.
