The Dark Knight Rises

Audio problem: Inside the well, when Bruce is about to take the final leap, the inmates are heard shouting "Rise!" in one single perfect cry, yet when the angle focuses on them no-one's mouth is in sync with the sound. Furthermore, no one's mouth is in sync with the inmate next to him.

Audio problem: After the military tell Blake that he can't cross the bridge with the kids, he tells the boys to get in the bus. The second time he says it, there's a side angle of Blake where his mouth is not moving at all.

Factual error: Los Angeles' US Bank Tower is visible in the background during the fight on the roof top.

Continuity mistake: When Catwoman is with Bruce Wayne at the charity ball, she has red painted nails. After stealing the Lamborghini Aventador, she is lacking nail varnish, even though she is still wearing her charity ball mask.

Continuity mistake: When Selina is observing the target that Bruce has been firing arrows at, Bruce suddenly shoots an arrow at the target, surprising her. The arrow is shown directly hitting the number 7 on the target. The shot then changes angles and the arrow is now a couple of inches away from the number 7. (00:11:19)

Continuity mistake: During the intro sequence, the camera points upward inside the bottom plane, allowing the viewer to see outside the hole, where nothing apparently exists except blue sky. Cut to an outside shot, and the suggested angle of the plane suggests we should be able to see the top plane outside the hole. Yet whenever we are inside, the top plane and the wires holding the planes together all mysteriously disappear.

Continuity mistake: The scene where Bane overwhelms the guards at the stock exchange and the surveillance tape of that scene that Alfred shows Bruce later are not from from the same take/choreography: In the surveillance tape when Bane shoots the guard with the other guard's pistol still in his hand, in the exact moment the shot goes off (recognizable by Bane's upwards bouncing arm), the guard flails his left arm high and throws his head back as if reacting choreographically to a punch (that punch comes half a second later though). In the original the guard does not flail with his left arm and does not throw his head back the moment the shot goes off. He only does it when Bane actually hits him with his own pistol. Furthermore, you can see from the surveillance tape that Bane's pistol-punch does not connect with the guard's face. (00:42:10 - 00:56:30)

Audio problem: When Batman and Catwoman meet at the sewers, the angles of her swap between frontal and side shots. During a side shot, she says the word "slate" but the audio is way out of sync with her lips.

Continuity mistake: When Bruce Wayne and Lucius Fox are discussing the fusion reactor in Fox's office, Wayne's hand keeps switching from being on his cane, to being placed somewhere out of frame.

Other mistake: After Batman returns to his cave, Alfred shows him the recording of the surveillance camera. From the angle of the surveillance camera, you can see that Bane shoots an armed guard that stands inside the metal detector. Yet in the original scene at the stock exchange there is no audible alarm from the metal detector that should've been triggered by the armed guard. In both recordings you can see that the green light ("ready" & "no alarm") is on all the time. (00:42:10 - 00:56:30)

Continuity mistake: When the girl climbs out of the prison her head gear is not joined under her chin. In the next shot when she covers her head, the bottom is now joined together. (02:12:35)

Continuity mistake: When Batman pulls the bomb from the back of the crashed truck, Gordon and Catwoman get out of the way. Catwoman turns to her right and takes a few steps in that direction, in the next shot she is just stepping backward and has not turned at all.

Factual error: After Bane takes over Gotham, the Army goes to town to stop him. When the convoy is stopped on the bridge, one of the vehicles shown is an M109 Paladin self propelled howitzer, an artillery cannon. There is no reason the army should bring medium-heavy field artillery to a hostage situation, seeing as everything it can do would involve more collateral damage than could be outweighed by the benefits. Even disregarding this, there's no reason at all to bring it into Gotham across the bridge: An M109 has an effective range of more than 30 kilometres, and a battery of guns would easily have been able to cover all of Gotham city from the other side of the river. Plus a howitzer, or any artillery for that matter, parked on a suspension bridge is pretty much useless as their field of fire would be severely limited.

Continuity mistake: When Catwoman shoots one of the tumblers we see it get hit and explode from behind, then 2 shots later we see her pass from the front. Also after the tumbler gets blown up the next wide shot from above reveals the tumbler is still there.

Other mistake: During the scene where Catwoman steals Bruce Wayne's Lamborghini Aventador, the traffic lights are red, however traffic proceeds through the light as if it were green, along with Catwoman.

Continuity mistake: The plane in the beginning has at least 4 rows of seats in the left and 5 rows in the right. In the final shot where Bane and the doctor "slip" out of the plane, the left has only 3 rows and the right one also seems to have no more than 3. Additionally, the last of both rows are level, although in the rest of the scene they are not. Furthermore, Bane and the doctor "start" amidst the seats, although in the last shot they start behind the last row of seats. And the aisle is pretty narrow in the last shot with not enough space to fit an additional seat, compared to the rest of the scene where the gap is wide enough to fit at least two seats. (00:04:10 - 00:06:20)

t-6

Continuity mistake: In the aerial shot it shows police cars stopped in front of the moto, but in a shot from the front they've moved several metres further on.

helen6feettall

Continuity mistake: As Batman begins to approach Bane during the final battle, be on the look out for a certain extra (a middle-aged man with a grey beard and brown vest). You'll see him fighting behind Batman...only to be seen fighting behind Bane in the very next shot.

Continuity mistake: When Blake is talking with the orphan on the bench, the wider shot of them shows the fence behind them being totally still. But in the shot of the orphan saying "Do you think he's coming back", the fence is suddenly in the middle of rattling in the wind. (00:18:55)

Casual Person

Bane: Leave us.
Daggett: No, don'€™t go anywhere. I a€™m in charge here.
Bane: [Puts his hand on Daggett's shoulder]. Do you feel in charge?

Trivia: John Blake talks about "giant alligators" being in the sewer, likely a nod towards Batman villain Killer Croc.

Question: SPOILER: At the end of the movie, it is common knowledge that Bruce Wayne is dead. A tombstone is erected and Wayne Enterprises are executing his will. Since everyone knows Batman died, did Gordon (or someone else) out Bruce as Batman? Fair enough, they could've come up with a cover story for Bruce's death, but surely people would get suspicious if Bruce Wayne and Batman died around the same time.

Brad

Chosen answer: Given that no accurate records would have been kept of what occurred in Gotham during Bane's occupation, it would be very easy to claim that Bruce had been in the city when the bridges fell, been captured and subsequently executed by forcing him out on the ice, as had happened with many other socialites. Plenty of people died during Bane's takeover of the city, particularly in the final hours. There's no reason why Bruce would stand out among them as a candidate, and even if anybody did harbour some suspicion, it could hardly be proven.
