Jeff drives an Oldsmobile similar to the one owned by Sam Raimi, which Bruce Campbell drove in "Evil Dead" and "Army of Darkness". When Bruce is locked in the trunk, he even finds a Fangoria magazine, which was also shown to be in the trunk in "Army of Darkness".
