Revealing: While alone with Gracie, Kathy says, "I've been fighting all my life against your type..." She then says, "Intellectuals...ugly women..." and Kathy's hair is noticeably longer at her shoulders than it was in all the previous shots. Gracie's left braid with red ribbon that sticks straight out differ between these shots too. Obviously this was shot in pickups.

Continuity: While planning their operation, Matthews' watch can be seen as he says, "We've got only 48 hours," and the time reads 1:50. When Clonsky says, "That means we're gonna need all kids of surveillance," Matthews' watch reads 3:45. When Matthews says, "Yeah, yeah. Now I'm thinking," his watch reads 3:00.

Continuity: The agents burst into Laika Restaurant wet from the rain outside. There is a difference in how wet they are, specifically McDonald, in the wide shots, semi close-ups and close-ups. McDonald's left sleeve also changes position between the semi close-ups and wide shots.

Continuity: In the wide shot as Victor is boarding the airplane, he answers Matthews' question and the suitcase Vic holds in his left hand has a flap with two straps and buckles on the side facing out. In the subsequent close-up the suitcase is reversed, the flap with two straps and buckles are now facing his leg.

Continuity: Stan asks Cheryl, "Describe your perfect date," and on stage to Cheryl's left are Miss Wisconsin, Connecticut, Indiana and Illinois. Yet after Gracie turns away, in the wide shot there are another two contestants with the original four to Gracie's left. Also in this wide shot, behind Stan and Cheryl there are contestants lined up in front of the shrubbery, but in the previous close-up as she answers the question, there are no contestants behind them. All are idle onstage during the interviewing.

Continuity: While having pizza and beer at the club, Gracie says, "Don't worry about that, we all sucked." In every front shot, Gracie's hair is hanging down the sides of her face, but in the next five side shots, her hair's tucked behind her left ear. Then in the rest of the shots her hair is tucked behind her left hair in all shots.

Continuity: At the talent preliminary held at the Alamo, while Stan says his intro there is a back shot of the audience in front of him with the judges station seen. After Stan shakes his hips a front shot of the audience is seen. The position of the judges' station is very different in both shots, as well as the audience.

Continuity: While Gracie is performing with her water glasses, Kathy tells Victor, "I thought I made it very clear you were responsible for making her look credible Victor." However on the Region 1 DVD, the subtitles say, "I thought I made it very clear you WEREN'T responsible for making her credible."

Continuity: Gracie, Matthews and the rest are planning their operation, and as Harris says, "It's a logistical nightmare," in the close-up Gracie's second blouse button is open. As she walks towards the table, it's closed. In the close-up she says, "...prelims or maybe a TV broadcast," it's open. In the next shot it's closed again. Then when Matthews says, "I got just the girl," that button is open yet again.

Continuity: When Gracie arrives at the hotel after her makeover, she and Victor get out of the taxi cab. She is not wearing her State name sash. But cut to the next shot and you will see that the sash is on over her right shoulder.

Continuity: Matthews and Clonsky are in the agents' hotel surveillance room. In the shots facing the monitors, the equipment near the small monitor sits higher than that monitor and there is no equipment on the TV. In the shots facing the agents, the equipment near the small monitor sits lower and closer to that monitor and there is electronic equipment on top of the TV.

Continuity: As Matthews and Gracie go at each other on the mat, they have each other pinned. He has her face between his crossed feet. In the close-up she says, "Alright let's just suspend reality for a second and pretend I said yes..." The laces on his sneakers/trainers are tied very differently in the close-up than in the previous and following wide shots.

Continuity: There is a scene where Cheryl is bringing hot chocolate to Gracie. Cheryl knocks, and Gracie looks through the peephole. In this shot, you can see that the hallway is white with a door on the far right. However, when Gracie opens the door, the hallway has changed completely; the walls are now a peachy color and there is a painting on the left.

Continuity: When Ivan, Krashow and the other Russian sit, the unoccupied table between them and Gracie is seen. That table is seen again when the waitress walks over to pick up the tip and clear it. The position of the utensils, used napkins, etc., are different in both shots. This is before she touches any dishes. Also, on the table that Krashow leans on as he's choking we see the bread off the board, and the knife under the napkin, but in the next close-up of the table, the bread is on the board with the knife under the loaf.

Audio problem: Before Gracie's self defense talent performance, she's standing with Vic and Matthews. The Pageant Matron sticks her face between the curtains and in the close-up says, "Oh here you are, you're up next." In the next wide shot we hear her continue to say, "New Jersey," however looking at her lips she's really saying, "You're up next," once again.

Revealing: When Gracie is speeding towards Starbucks in Manhattan, before she crosses the intersection to make the U-turn, an aerial view of the block in the background is seen. The parked cars are spaced with small islands in between and are parked perpendicularly to the sidewalks. These shots are very obviously not taken in Manhattan, but rather in Austin.

Continuity: After Cheryl's fire batons performance she runs off stage and hugs Gracie. In the first shot while hugging, she's holding her batons in her left hand and she puts her right hand up to her mouth. However in the subsequent shot Cheryl's left hand is near her mouth and she's holding her batons in her right hand.

Continuity: During the 'One in a Million' opening performance of the pageant, while the contestants are dancing, in the shots behind the ladies the steadycam operator is seen at the front runway. Yet in the front shot, in between the back shots, the entire runway is seen, including the luminous edge bulbs, and the steadycam operator is not there.

Continuity: Gracie sings "You want to smooch me" to Matthews, and he takes a Milky Way candy bar and bites into it. There is a back shot of Matthews, then a front shot and then a back shot again. In the front shot the wrapper and the bite he takes differs from the previous and following back shots.

Visible crew/equipment: After Gracie leaps off stage onto the gun man and yellow shirt man, she and the two men fall to the ground. A piece of the light blue safety mat can be seen under the legs of the yellow shirt man. Don't confuse it with the blue pants of the woman sitting center screen. It can also be seen in the news broadcast that's on TV later. Use slo-mo if necessary. This is not a Pageant mat.
