Continuity: After Gracie is given the title of Miss Congeniality, Miss Texas (with her broken nose) and some others go up to hug her. As Miss Texas is hugging Gracie up at the podium in the first shot, the very next shot is a close-up of Victor and Matthews in the 'audience', and seen right in front of them in the audience is Miss Texas.

Revealing: At the Russian restaurant, on the agent's surveillance monitor in the van we see the blonde Russian start to sit in the first shot. Yet in the next shot in the restaurant we now see the blonde Russian is just pulling his chair out to sit. A surveillance camera CANNOT see what has NOT even happened yet.

Revealing: Gracie hugs the Russian waitress in order to have a better view of the disc hand-off appear on the monitor. As she raises her left hand that holds the book/camera lens, we see that the digital feed that appears on the monitor stays steady and level, even though she is raising the book/camera lens higher and closer to her face. Obviously the feed that we see on the monitor is not taken from the book/camera lens.

Revealing: When Vic and Gracie are inside St. Regis Hotel's Restaurant Lespinasse, there are windows in which the view outside can be seen. The street traffic seen through the window is obviously not Manhattan and the cars are heading the wrong way down E. 55th St. The exterior of the real restaurant is seen when Vic tries to teach Gracie how to glide. The interior shots are filmed at another restaurant in Austin.

Revealing: Cheryl is the second one called in the Top 5 and she stands with Miss California at the front of the stage. Stan calls Miss Nebraska and as he says, "A theatre major", Cheryl is seen in front of Gracie with the other Top 10 that haven't been called.

Continuity: At her apartment, in the close-up Gracie turns on her stereo and we see the table, office chair, plus a cap with an insignia and two video tapes are lying on top of the TV. In the next two wide shots as she boxes, the chair's in a different position, no cap with insignia and no video tapes are on top of the TV.

Continuity: In the scene towards the end of the film, just before Gracie goes on stage for the finale. Kathy Morningside is trying to open a bottle of pills backstage. She can't open the bottle so shouts for Frank. However instead of calling Frank, she shouts 'Ste..' and then corrects it to 'Frank'. I would imagine this is because Frank Tobin's real name is Steve Monroe.

Audio problem: While describing Miss Rhode Island during the Top 5, Kathy continues to say, "with a minor in elementary particles" however when Kathy can be seen on the live feed of the jumbo-tron onstage, she is just smiling and not saying those words.

Continuity: At the orientation breakfast, Cheryl, Miss Rhode Island introduces Gracie to the other contestants including Miss California, and calls her Leslie Davis. However, when the five finalists are announced, she's the first one called and Stan says, "California. Leslie Williams is a music major..."

Revealing: Matthews and Gracie are walking and talking on the street when they get to the door and Matthews says, "Alright here we are," and in the next shot they're in Kathy's office. However, they were walking down E. 55th St. and the door they reach is for Lespinasse, St. Regis Hotel's fine dining restaurant. The exterior can also be seen when Vic tries to teach Gracie to glide outside of the restaurant. This shot should precede Gracie's meeting with Victor at Lespinasse, it's in the wrong place!

Continuity: Gracie and Matthews have a meeting with Kathy Morningside (Candice) and Stan Fields (Shatner) in her office to discuss Gracie's upcoming undercover work. In the 1st shot, Kathy stands up in front of a picture of a previous Miss United States and the reflection in the glass behind Kathy shows Stan, Matthews and Gracie standing up as well. Yet, in the 2nd shot, Stan who is still sitting stands up now. Then in the 3rd shot, Matthews and Gracie get up too.

Audio problem: In the scene where the final five contestants are being interviewed and Gracie does her 'if anyone hurts one of my new friends' speech, you can see that she says, "I will take them down," but it has been dubbed over so she says, "I will take them out."

Continuity: As a young girl in 1984 Gracie looks about 7 or 8. Later when the FBI agents are looking for someone to go undercover at the beauty contest they bring up Gracie's file on their computer screen. If you look at the box on the lower left side you will see her date of birth. She was born in 1968. In my reckoning that would make her 16 years old NOT 7 or 8.

Continuity: In her apartment, Gracie drops her bags down, trips near her bed and starts kicking it. The blanket's on the floor in front of the doorway as she heads into the kitchen, which is bright. In the next shot from her front, as she walks towards the kitchen, which is now very dark, the blanket's now on the side of the bed. Also, there's a wicker basket with clothes on the corner of the rug now and her black bag that she dropped earlier is positioned quite differently.

Continuity: When they are having pizza and beer at the club, Miss California puts her slice down on the silver pie platter on the table as Gracie and Cheryl take a seat. In the shot from behind Miss Texas the pie platter is seen again and the arrangement of the slices is different on the platter. Also when Hart says, "We'll stay here", and in this front shot she takes a bite of her slice and Cheryl picks up a new slice and takes a bite out of hers. In the back shot, Cheryl picks up a new slice and takes a bite again.

Revealing: The shot from inside the bus showing the grounds outside of the hotel, including people, cars, flower planters, etc. differs from the next shot outside the bus as it pulls away. Also, when Gracie and Vic stand near the taxi, when Gracie boards the bus and when she is on the bus, many of the same extras walking around outside do repetitive or even contradictory actions in these shots.

Revealing: The Pageant Announcer says, "The Top 10 have been chosen and we'll be right back with tonight's Swimsuit Competition." Behind her the women can be seen live on stage and to her right they can also be seen on the live monitor. Gracie comes offstage behind her, yet on the monitor Gracie waves and heads off stage towards Kathy and Stan on the other side of the stage. The other contestants movements are also vastly different behind her and on the monitor.

Revealing: Kathy Morningside sits at her desk, puts on her tiara and recalls her own pageant win. Her hair is short, reaching the collar of her jacket and her earrings the same length as her hair. When Frank walks into the room, she shows him the other fake terrorist letters and her hair is now much longer. This was obviously shot later in pickups.

Continuity: Gracie and Cheryl are at the doorway of the dining hall for the orientation breakfast, and Cheryl says, "Oh look, there's our table," and seen behind them are Miss New Mexico, Miss Utah and Miss Maryland who haven't entered the dining hall. Yet in the next shot showing the dining hall, those three contestants are standing by the podium at the other end of the room, as Gracie and Cheryl enter.

Continuity: As young Gracie faces off with the bully, in the front shots her hair is all pulled back, yet in most side shots and also when she says, "Now get outta here," her hair is loose on the sides of her forehead. Her tee shirt collar also changes position within these shots. Also, the red folder and blue binder change position in these shots.
