Factual error: The sheriff mentions that they don't have a license plate on the front of their vehicle, but according to the aliens' map device, they're located in Michigan, where a front plate is not required.
Continuity: When the law enforcement officer arrives, there is a tight close up on the handle of his .38 revolver. When one of the aliens scans his body, an image of a .45 1911 appears instead.
Plot hole: In the scene where Ricky is fighting granny. Granny elbows Ricky on the neck and knocks off the alien control sensor from his neck. But later when he goes to the other girls house, he is once again controlled by the alien joypad(without a sensor on his neck).
Continuity: When Sparks had just finished building the Lego model in Hannah's room to show what the machine was, Tom was saying that Sparks was different and Sparks gave him a big dark green Lego. But before he gave it to Tom, it was light green.
Factual error: When the kids are putting firecrackers in the duct system, we see them flying around the aliens exploding. However the fireworks that were used were not the type with propellants on them and therefore would not fly around.
