Directed by Peter Farrelly, starring Chris Cooper, Jim Carrey, Renée Zellweger (add more)
Genres: Comedy
Factual error: In the flashback scene in 1982 when Charlie and Layla are on the picnic blanket, they're drinking Budweisers out of late 1990's bottles that came in a late 1990's six-pack.
Continuity: At the beginning of the movie Charlie and Layla are sitting on the sea side. After he asks her about her readiness to live on whale blubber in case he gets assigned to the arctic their position changes from resting on their hands to resting on their elbows.
Continuity: In the beginning of the movie, when Charlie and Shonté start arguing, Shonté takes his jacket off and throws it to one side. The jacket continually changes sides throughout the scene.
Deliberate "mistake": When Layla is having babies and the first one comes out there is already a nappy on the baby.
Revealing: When the baby is pulled out of Layla, you can tell that it's not a newborn baby because he is missing his umbilical cord.
Plot hole: How on earth is it possible for the three of those babies to fit inside that woman, especially for the size they were when they came out?
Continuity: Charlie's neighbor Ed allows his dog to crap on Charlie's lawn. In wide shots he is holding the leash roll in his right, in close-up in his left hand.
Continuity: When the guys in the barber shop return to their game of checkers after admiring the well endowed mom the pieces on the board are arranged differently.
Continuity: When Charlie tries to get the little girl off the street there are the same two extras walking by in short succession.
Visible crew/equipment: When Charlie talks to the little girl with the rope, the mike and two hands holding it are reflected in the helmet.
Continuity: When the little girl starts screaming her long hair moves from her back to her front.
Continuity: In the scene where Charlie lets the woman jump the line his newspaper switches back and forth between his right hand and under his left arm.
Continuity: In the scene where Hank comes crashing into the building with Dick's car, the driver's side headlight is intact. They show the people in the building, and when the shot returns to the car, the headlight is dangling from its socket.
Continuity: When Hank crashes into the barber shop with Dick's car, the angle of the cigarette in the geeser's hand changes from shot to shot.
Factual error: After Jim Carrey has his first "episode", the police car pulls up to the officer in charge, and it has blue lights on both sides. In Rhode Island, all police cars must have red lights only.
Continuity: Irene's hair moves back and forth between behind and in front of her right shoulder in the scene where she tells the police officer about her accident. It undergoes further changes when she talks to Dickie on the phone.
Other: When the cow is seen on the road, note the black and white patterning on its hide. At the end, when you see the cow in a neck brace, it has different patterning.
Continuity: When Charlie shoots the cow, he had turned off the headlight of the motorcycle. After he shoots the cow the first time, the headlight is back on.
Continuity: In the scene where Charlie shoots the cow, no flame or smoke is seen coming from the gun in some shots, but all the others show flames and/or smoke.
