Early in the film, at one point, the family returns home and it is snowing lightly. The windshield wipers stop and there is a brief overhead shot of the mother near the car and too much snow has collected on the windshield of the car. Esther: Honestly, we're past that now, aren't we?
Sister Abigail: I'm afraid I may have made a mistake. I think there could be something wrong with Esther.
John Coleman: What? What do you mean? You told us that you never had any trouble with her.
Sister Abigail: I didn't. But trouble does have a way of finding her.

Daniel Coleman: She's not my sister.
