After the opening sequence when Major Payne is at his home base, the sign reads "Camp Pendleton, Virginia" Any marine worth his salt knows that Camp Pendleton is in California. [Any Marine worth his salt would know there is also a Camp Pendleton in VA, at Virginia Beach, VA, as well as near Oceanside,CA.
