Character mistake: The reporter refers to a "box of ashes" being buried in Westlake's grave, whereas in the first film, all that was buried there was "an ear", which was all they could find of his body.

In the original film, Westlake/Darkman was played by Liam Neeson, whereas in this sequel the character is played by Arnold Vosloo. However, if you pay close attention, you can see that several shots of Liam Neeson from the first movie were used as stock-footage in this film. (Ex. the opening flashback is a mixture of both Neeson and Vosloo footage cut together, and at least once you see a dramatic close-up of Darkman's eye which is a shot of Neeson taken from the first film.). Darkman II: The Return of Durant (1994) - 5 mistakes
These mistakes are currently being ordered by time. Entries without times will appear at the end.
Revealing: Near the beginning, when Westlake is experimenting and his mask melts, you can clearly see that the mask is not really melting, and is just covered with suds while a "melting" sound effect plays.
Revealing: After stealing the battery out of Durant's weapon near the end, as Westlake says "Batteries not included", you can see the actor's undamaged lips under the fake burn prosthetics on his face and mouth. (Look underneath the exposed teeth where his lips supposedly were burned off.).
Continuity: There is a color change on Darkman's burned skin. In the beginning of the movie, in his lab, his burns are pretty much flesh colored. Later on in the movie, they are a much darker red and brown.
Other: When Durant and his men chase Lauri out on the streets, they are waving around their guns and causing great commotion and panic amongst bystanders. However, in certain wide shots, you can see some of the extras are standing still, and not reacting to the chaos as they were in previous shots.
