Question: What would have eventually happened to Marko after Bryan left him in the basement? Would he just have died and continued to have current surge through him till someone found him? Would he eventually burst in to flames? Would his heart explode? I know he dies, that much is obvious. Just curious as to what happens in the longer term.

The_Iceman

Chosen answer: Depends on how much current is actually running through him. Since it didn't kill him right away, even after a few jolts to get him to talk, it's unlikely it was enough that he would ever burst into flames or that his heart would explode. Most likely, he just slowly cooked until he dried up and burnt like a turkey left too long in the oven.

Question: How could the auctioneers verify that Kimmy was a "certified pure?"

Answer: By examining if her hymen had been broken. Although it is a misconception that the hymen is always broken once a female has intercourse for the first time it is still generally accepted that if the hymen is intact, the woman must be a virgin.

BaconIsMyBFF

Question: Would Bryan just have left the country with Kim (possibly using his CIA connections)? He had torn up Paris in the space of 2 and a half days and killed countless people. He may have gotten away with that when employed on CIA business but in the movie, he's basically just breaking the law. Seems if he took Kim to hospital, questions would be asked and he would be arrested (not to mention shooting Jean-Claude's wife and assaulting him). Yet Kim looks cleaned up, etc.

The_Iceman

Chosen answer: Bryan may not have taken Kim to a hospital in Paris. We also saw earlier that he has some medical training and was able to help the other girl who had been drugged. Bryan likely has many connections who could help get him and Kim get out the country quickly, and he has enough knowledge about police and government corruption that he could spill to the press. Most likely the authorities wanted him gone as quickly as possible to avoid a public scandal and would do little to prevent his leaving.

Question: Technology-wise, in the scene where he is on the phone and the French police are tracking him down, how does he make that possible? A two-way radio "wired" to the cell phone? Only in Hollywood, or could it be possible?

Answer: Actually, what Bryan Mills did was perfectly possible. He strapped a mobile phone to the two way radio, and used the other two way radio to talk. By speaking into his radio, it transmitted it to the other radio, where the mobile speaker could hear and transmit his voice. The French police would have been able to triangulate the source of the mobile phone signal from the particular 'cell' (i.e. area) that the mobile was using - while that would lead them to the phone position, he'd be elsewhere talking on the other half of the radio.

GalahadFairlight

Answer: Yea but how did he answer the call? A very long stick?

Question: Can we assume that Brian or Stuart had Amanda's body shipped back to the U.S.?

Answer: It's never made clear, but that would be the logical assumption. It's possible that the other Albanians had already disposed of Amanda's body before the police got to the house. After rescuing Kim, Brian likely cooperated with the French authorities regarding the sex slave operation and would have attempted to locate Amanda's remains and also make sure arrangements were made for the other girl he rescued.

Question: Why didn't Bryan just guide Kim out onto the balcony/window edge of the bathroom (like he did when he got to the apartment later after she and Amanda had been kidnapped) and to safety instead of letting her be taken?

Answer: Even if Kim had gone out on the balcony/ledge, she'd still be found and taken by the kidnappers or else she'd fall one storey down and be killed or seriously injured. Bryan knew that.

raywest

Answer: The kidnappers would've heard the window open or seen her come out (as they were directly in-front of the bathroom) Also, you've got to note that Bryan was in the secret service and had learned skills that were extraordinary as well as gained strength and know how to cope with situations (like not get panicked), if she did prevent the kidnappers from; seeing her or hearing her, most probably, she would've; 1. Either fell because she couldn't keep her balance 2. Fell because was was hurriedly trying to get out.

Chosen answer: Bit of a tenous link that to be honest, I just put it down to her and Amanda liking the band and wanted to go on the European tour to see them.

GalahadFairlight

Chosen answer: No.

Question: What was on the translation note to make the bad guy say, "good luck"?

Answer: It actually did say "Good Luck". Bryan was trying to get the villain to say that phrase so he could be certain that it was him by matching the voice to the one on the tape.

wizard_of_gore

Answer: Bryan looked up the Albanian translation of "good luck", and wrote it down, from the English-Albanian dictionary he had purchased from the translator. He gave it to the kidnappers to read it back to him in English, so that he would be able to identify the speaker by voice. It was more plausible to create a story of needing something translated than to try to get one of the criminals to repeat "good luck" in English directly. The note is an implied office prank at Bryan's expense, since Bryan was pretending he was sent by French intelligence to shake down the criminals - his supposed "office staff" were wishing him "good luck" in Albanian. Bryan wrote the note himself, of course, but the criminals didn't know that, and chuckled about it.

Question: What happens to the girl that had Kim's jacket? Is it assumed that he just left her in the hotel?

Answer: It's never stated, but it's likely Bryan had made arrangements with his friend (the hotel manager) to help her return home once she recovered enough from the drugs.

Question: What is written on the back of Kim's jean jacket?

Answer: It looks like it says "Doll Face."

Question: How did the bad guys manage to sneak Kim and Amanda out of the apartment without being noticed?

Answer: It's not shown, but they probably drugged the girls and then put them into large trunks or boxes and posed as moving guys, probably using a back entrance or alley.

raywest

Answer: In addition to the other answer, it's likely that, since they always bring girls to the same apartment for the kidnappings, they have a deal with the owners of the place to look the other way and provide them an escape route free from observers.

The apartment belonged to Amanda's relatives who were away traveling. She had lied to Kim about it. The guy from the airport found out where they were staying by sharing the cab with them.

Question: Women are getting kidnapped in the area where persons get dropped in front of an France Airport which bystanders would be able to see them. So how have persons of this Syndicate not been caught?

Answer: The people at the airport are just spotters, they contact the eventual kidnappers once they have an address to send them to. They aren't doing anything illegal or suspicious so they can't get caught with anything.

lionhead

Answer: They checked whether her hymen had been broken.

BaconIsMyBFF

Continuity mistake: When Kim is kidnapped, she describes the man "Beard. Six feet. Tattoo right hand, moon and star." When Bryan listens to the tape in the jet, she says, "Mustache. Six feet. Tattoo on right hand, moon and star. Dad!" (00:27:50)

Bryan: I was told I have 96 hours. That was sixteen hours ago.
Jean Claude: Okay, first we should find the spotter.
Bryan: I found him. He's dead.
Jean Claude: You found him that way? Bryan, you cannot just run around, tearing down Paris.
Bryan: Jean Claude, I will tear down the Eiffel Tower if I have to.
