W. (2008) - 6 mistakes

Factual error: Towards the end of the movie, George W. Bush is seen walking through the Cross Hall of The White House towards what is in reality The East Room. Behind him we see a large staircase with a plant next to it on the other end of the hall. These should not be there: that is where the door to the State Dining Room really is. In the next shot we see W. coming upstairs from a winding staircase that doesn't exist.

Continuity: During George W. Bush's dream, we see W walk in to his oval office to see his father sitting at his son's desk. Take note that the lighter next to the cigar box is positioned close to the box; however, when the shot is filmed from behind George Sr's. back the lighter's position is moved further away; then, it returns to its original position when we first saw it for the rest of the scene.

Continuity: George Bush is using the restroom; he rips off a piece of toilet paper, and there is a piece of toilet paper still hanging down off the roll; in the very next shot that piece is no longer to be seen.

Continuity: In the scene where George Bush Jr. is about to place a video tape in to the VCR for his father to watch, you can see George Sr. putting on his glasses through a reflection in the TV screen; the shot then goes to seeing George Sr. putting on his glasses again.

Continuity: While George W. Bush is eating his sandwich, while talking to Dick Cheney, at lunch, George's sandwich gets bigger when it should have been getting smaller. Also, the portion of cheese puffs increases on his plate, too.

Continuity: While George W. Bush is walking along with his cabinet in Texas, on his ranch, Dick Cheney goes from walking in back of the group to being up front quickly and mysteriously.
