Entry Abba's Benny Anderson and Bjorn Ulvaeus have cameos. One is seen during 'Dancing Queen', playing piano on a boat, and the other is seen near the end of the 'Waterloo' sequence, which plays over the credits.
Entry When you first see Sam he is supposed to be in America, but when you see out of the window as he is leaving, you can see the Gherkin building in London. He is actually in the Lloyd's Building, but to add to the illusion of being in America, he is picked up by a Yellow Cab.
Entry While neither the stage show nor the film reveals who Sophie's real father is, there is an official answer. According to Catherine Johnson and Phyllida Lloyd, Sophie's real father is Bill. Bill's character was Australian in the original stage production, but in the film he became a Swede instead, and he's played by Swedish actor Stellan Skarsgård. This means the film's Sophie has her roots in Sweden - just like "Mamma Mia!"
Entry Rosie's cookbook that is mentioned in the beginning of the movie is a bit of an inside joke and refers to "Calendar Girls" that Julie Walters starred in.
