Audio problem: Sophie and her boyfriend sing at the beach, he says he likes to smoke and pronounces the word "true" with the camera facing him. Right afterwards there's a side shot and music is heard with no lyrics, but he is mouthing as if singing. Then back to a front shot and now he sings and mouths.

Continuity mistake: When Sophie is finally dressed for her wedding, the gauzey material is predominately over her right shoulder/breast. Next shot it is over her left. When she gets on the donkey, it is completely off her right side and her bra shows.

According to Catherine Johnson and Phyllida Lloyd, Sophie's real father is Bill. Bill's character was Australian in the original stage production, but in the film he became a Swede instead, and he's played by Swedish actor Stellan Skarsgård."
