Continuity: Several different boats are used in this movie as "PBR Street Gang" and they are almost duplicates of each other. In the scene where Clean is killed look at the handrail on the port side that extends from the rear of the roof towards the front of the boat. The last section is kinked up at a 45-degree angle where it's attached to the roof. Two minutes later we see a wide shot of a different PBR which has a gentle bend in this piece of metal rather than the abrupt bend on the other boat. (Time) Submitted by ????

Continuity: The vehicle on the bridge that is attacked by the helicopter has three men in it. In the first shot of it exploding one man falls to the right and two men fall to the left. In the next shot as it falls off the bridge all three men fall to the left of the vehicle. (Time) Submitted by ????

Continuity: If you keep your eyes on the right side of the screen before Colonel Kilgore gives the injured VC soldier a drink you can see a crew member's hand holding a light meter pass quickly in and out of the shot. (Time) Submitted by ????

Continuity: When Captain Willard runs into the photographer when he reaches Kutz's compound the scene keeps jumping back and fourth between the two characters as they walk around. The photographer is wearing a red headband. As the film shots keep jumping back and fourth between the two characters the headband changes from being folded flat to being rolled up across his brow.

Continuity: Dennis Hopper walks up the steps to the bamboo cage where Captain Willard is being held and gets some water from a fountain about five feet to the right of the cage. In the next shot as he turns around the cage is right there next to him. (Time) Submitted by ????

Continuity: Captain Willard walks up to a soldier and asks him, "Where can I find the CO". At first he has his right hand on the soldier's left arm then in the next shot he's not touching him at all. (Time) Submitted by ????

Continuity: In the second shot of dinner at the plantation a French boy is speaking to the people seated at the table. There's no centerpiece or flowers in the middle of the table but there is in the next shot. (Time) Submitted by ????

Continuity: In the boat Captain Willard reads more about Colonel Kurtz' and fingers through his three Green Beret applications. Right after the captain says, "But when he threatened to resign, they gave it to him," he stops on a prop sheet that had the real names and dates erased and new names and dates typed in using a different typewriter that has darker numbers and letters. Continuity: When Captain Willard flies in by helicopter to meet up with the PBR at the Texaco fuel depot, we see only one PBR with a flag waving in the front and a radar dome on the back of the roof. This is not the same boat that we see in the next shot in which the flag and radar dome are reversed. (Time) Submitted by ????

Audio problem: At dinner as they all listen to Colonel Kurtz' voice there's a close-up of the tape recorder and you can see that his voice is overdubbed because the level meters are not moving as he speaks. (Time) Submitted by ????

Audio problem: On the boat while reading Kurtz' file Captain Willard says to himself, "The charges are unjustified, they are in fact and in the circumstances of this conflict, quite completely insane". In this shot they show the Captain reading the letter to himself but looking at his lips the words he is mouthing do not go along with what he's narrating. (Time) Submitted by ????

Continuity: During Willard's bout of insanity in the opening scene, we see him doing karate or something in front of his bed and there's blood visible on the sheets. Yet that is not supposed to be there until he smashes the mirror (half a minute later) with his hand and then runs the blood over the bed and his face. (Time)

Continuity: In the first few scenes with the air cavalry commander, his black hat has a lieutenant colonel rank and a small crossed-sword emblem on it.  Later, as his helicopter lands on the beach, his hat has no rank and is emblazoned with a very large crossed-sword Cav emblem. (Time)

Revealing: A Medevac helicopter lands in the courtyard and later explodes when a Vietnamese woman throws a grenade into it. The copter that lands is not the one that explodes. The front of the helicopter that blows up is older and beat up and the window on the pilot's door does not have any green sun shade on top as the other chopper had when it landed.
