Audio problem: After leaving the Do Lung Bridge Chef hands out the mail to Clean who says, "Is that it?" If you look closely at Clean's lips he also says, "Thanks," which was edited out.

Revealing: As Captain Willard stands on the steps of the temple there's a wide shot of the natives. If you watch closely you'll see the movie jump.

Continuity: After Chef rips the picture from his Playboy magazine he crouches down. In the next shot as he's taping it up he's standing.

Audio problem: As the colonel reads his poetry out loud Dennis Hopper says, Oh, he's out there. He's really out there". If you look closely at Hopper's lips, he says something else that's edited out.

Continuity: As Chief Phillips is shooting he yells, "You savages, come and get it". After he says this the warrior with the spear who eventually kills him can be seen on the shore running in the opposite direction. In the next shot Lance, who is now at the controls, guns the engine. The boat moves forward, not in a circle, yet two shots later when the warrior throws the spear the boat is further back down the river than it was before not further up the river where it should be.

Continuity: As the boat approaches Kurtz' compound the dead body hanging from the tree on the left of the screen is motionless. Six seconds later as they get a little closer the body is twisting and swaying even though there is no wind and no person goes near it.

Continuity: Dennis Hopper says to captain Willard, "the man really likes you" as he hands him the cigarette. In the close-up look closely at Hopper's right hand, as a cut appears on his forth knuckle that wasn't there in the previous shot.

Continuity: As Chef is firing the rear machine gun there are two belts of ammo on the 60 caliber gun behind him, one hanging out of the gun itself and the other one draped over the gun's protective metal side. In the next shot as the captain runs up to him there's only one belt of ammo.

Continuity: As Hubert de Marais explains, "The French officer mentality," to Captain Willard, Roxanne goes from looking at the waiter on her left to looking at Hubert on her right between shots.

Continuity: As they approach the French plantation we see a close-up of the right side of the boat which was just in a horrific Vietnamese rocket and machine gun attack. There's none of the damage that you would expect to see on the side of the boat. But specifically we saw close ups of where the hand-held machine guns are stored, and the spot where Captain Willard is standing which were all hit with heavy fire and riddled with holes.

Continuity: In the close-up of Chief Phillips piloting the boat up to the French plantation dock look closely at the pair of boots hanging evenly by their shoe laces over the 60 caliber machine gun that Chef is pointing towards the dock. He hasn't taken his fingers off that machine gun but when Chef gets ready to leave the boat the boot on the right is now higher than the one on the left.

Continuity: After the rocket attack Chief Phillips looks back and says, "Chef, Chef check out Clean. Captain, he's hit". Look closely at the blood spatter on that the piece of metal that was behind him during the attack. Later as Lance takes over the helm of the boat there's less blood dripping on it.

Continuity: Lance is with his Playboy Bunny spreading makeup on her forehead as she says, "They make you do things that you don't want to do." Later as she says, "I wish I could find, just one person," he puts the make up on her forehead again.

Continuity: At the beach party Lieutenant Colonel Kilgore says, "bring me my Yater Spoon the eight-six". Later when Captain Willard steals this surfboard from his helicopter it's not a Yater Spoon, which has a distinctive flat tail and can be seen at www.yater.com.

Continuity: As the soldiers crash the stage, Playmate Carrie Foster signs one of her pictures on a soldier's back as he leans over. In the next shot she signs it again.

Audio problem: As he leaves the USO show Bill Graham ignites a smoke canister before he gets into the helicopter and says, "So long," but his lips indicate that he's just whistling.

Continuity: As Satisfaction plays in the background, Lance is holding on to a white tow cord as he skis. Earlier as they pull out of Hau Phat we see him holding a blue tow cord before he unwraps his new water skis. Thirty seconds later in another shot he is holding the blue tow cord.

Continuity: As they get ready to leave the beach party Kilgore says, "bring me my Yater Spoon, the eight-six". The soldier to the right of Mike has a cigarette in his mouth that is gone in the next shot.

Continuity: Colonel Kilgore offers the wounded VC soldier a drink of water and his right elbow is leaning on his leg. In the next shot only his forearm is leaning on his leg.

Audio problem: Before they dock at the USO show at Hau Phat Chef says, "Jesus". He also says some other stuff that has been edited out.
