Continuity: Back on the boat after the tiger attack Chef, freaks out and yells, "Yes I've had it…" and the surfboard behind Chief Phillips' head moves about a foot to the left between shots as he says, "Tiger?". Submitted by ????

Continuity: At the beginning of the arrow attack Chief Phillips yells, "Chef, open up, fire". Before he says this we see a wide shot of the shoreline with no vertical poles sticking up. In the next close-up shot of Chief Phillips there's a red spear stuck in the mud on the shore. Submitted by ????

Continuity: On the boat after leaving Kilgore Chef lights up a joint and hands it to Lance who holds it between his thumb and index finger. In the next shot it's between his 1st and 2nd fingers as he offers it to the Captain. Submitted by ????

Continuity: Approaching Kurtz' compound Lance starts drumming on two tin cans and if you listen closely they get the overdub wrong. At first we hear two distinct pitches, which are the actual sounds, picked up by the microphone but the last time he hits it we hear a third higher pitch which was overdubbed. There are only two cans not three and he doesn't change the way he's holding them therefore you can only have a maximum of two audible pitches. Submitted by ????

Continuity: As Colonel Kurtz sits and reads articles to Captain Willard from Time magazine look very closely at the clasp of his dog tag necklace on the left of his neck. Throughout the shots he keeps both hands on the articles that he's reading yet the clasp on his necklace moves down his neck more than an inch without being touched. Submitted by ????

Continuity: When Captain Willard shakes Chef's head off of his lap it falls into the mud face down and in the dark. In the next shot the head is face up and in the light. Submitted by ????

Continuity: The blood and scrapes on Captain Willard's nose disappear as he speaks to Dennis Hopper from the cage. Submitted by ????

Continuity: As the boat approaches Kurtz' compound the dead body hanging from the tree on the left of the screen is motionless. Six seconds later as they get a little closer the body is twisting and swaying even though there is no wind and no person goes near it. Submitted by ????

Continuity: Look closely at the shadows going across Chief Phillip's face just before he tries to kill Captain Willard. First they're going from left to right, then in the next shot when he grabs the captain's head, they're going from right to left. This happens several other times in the scene. Submitted by ????

Continuity: Dennis Hopper says to captain Willard, "the man really likes you" as he hands him the cigarette. In the close-up look closely at Hopper's right hand, as a cut appears on his forth knuckle that wasn't there in the previous shot. Submitted by ????

Continuity: As the little French boy goes to kiss Hubert de Marais the man wearing a tan jacket in the center of the screen goes from looking to his right to looking at his food between shots. Submitted by ????

Continuity: As Hubert de Marais explains, "The French officer mentality," to Captain Willard, Roxanne goes from looking at the waiter on her left to looking at Hubert on her right between shots. Submitted by ????

Continuity: Captain Willard inquires from two soldiers manning a machine gun, "Who's the commanding officer here?" The two can't kill the "Gooks out there by the wire" so they ask their friend "Roach" for some help. As "Roach" walks over he turns off a tape recorder playing some Jimmy Hendrix riffs. If you look closely at the buttons of the tape recorder it was never on in the first place. Submitted by ????

Continuity: In the close-up of Chief Phillips piloting the boat up to the French plantation dock look closely at the pair of boots hanging evenly by their shoe laces over the 60 caliber machine gun that Chef is pointing towards the dock. He hasn't taken his fingers off that machine gun but when Chef gets ready to leave the boat the boot on the right is now higher than the one on the left. Submitted by ????

Continuity: After the rocket attack Chief Phillips looks back and says, "Chef, Chef check out Clean. Captain, he's hit". Look closely at the blood spatter on that the piece of metal that was behind him during the attack. Later as Lance takes over the helm of the boat there's less blood dripping on it. Continuity: As they all sit on the boat and read their letters from home Lance dances around with the purple smoke canister. Look closely as the red Vietnamese banner on the shoreline disappears between shots. Submitted by ????

Continuity: After Lance and Captain Willard return to the boat Chief Phillips says, "which way captain". As the captain sits on the front of the boat look closely at his tee shirt, he has something underneath resembling a large newspaper or package. When he takes his tee shirt off there's nothing under there except his dog tags. Submitted by ????

Continuity: As the camera pans along from the rear of the helicopter to the front Chef says to Miss May, "I've got every one of your pictures". Watch very closely as the camera shoots through the two windows on the helicopter's door. The Styrofoam head with the black wig on it that Chef asks the playmate to put on is not up against the left window as it is several shots later inside the helicopter. Submitted by ????

Continuity: As they stop at the Playboy Bunnies' camp, two barefoot soldiers run out to meet them. When they first come out there's a red and white oil drum standing in front of their tent. In the next shot it's overturned but later when they walk back into the tent it's upright again. Submitted by ????

Continuity: Lance is with his Playboy Bunny spreading makeup on her forehead as she says, "They make you do things that you don't want to do." Later as she says, "I wish I could find, just one person," he puts the make up on her forehead again. Submitted by ????
