Lethal Weapon

McAllister and Joshua capture Riggs, Murtaugh and Rianne. Riggs and Murtaugh are being tortured but Riggs kills his captor and helps Murtaugh and Rianne escape. McAllister and Joshua get away. While Riggs chases Joshua, Murtaugh goes after McAllister. While driving away, McAllister is blindsided by a bus and a fire starts in his car, burning the heroin and getting dangerously close to the grenades nearby. McAllister meets his doom when the grenades explode. Meanwhile, Riggs intercepts Joshua at Murtaugh's house, where we presume Joshua was going to kidnap/kill the rest of Murtaugh's family. Riggs challenges Joshua to hand-to-hand combat on Murtaugh's lawn just as he arrives, with all the other cops watching. Riggs beats Joshua, who pulls a gun as he is carried off. Riggs and Murtaugh kill him. Riggs and Murtaugh are now best friends for life.

Continuity mistake: When Mel Gibson is talking about the special bullet, kept as the suicide special, he describes it as a hollow point - to do the job right. When he shows the bullet it is a full metal jacket.

Roger Murtaugh: See how easy that was? Boom, still alive. Now we question him. You know why we question him? Because I got him in the leg. I didn't shoot him full of holes or try to jump off a building with him.
Martin Riggs: Hey, that's no fair. The building guy lived.

Trivia: The helicopter from which Hunsacker is shot by Mister Joshua is FAA registry number N230CA, meaning it's the same Bell JetRanger wearing a POLICE paint scheme that is shot down towards the end of the movie 'Blue Thunder'. (01:14:10)

Question: Who's the actor that played the jumper...? IMDB doesn't say... I thought I heard once that it's Mel Gibson's brother? He looks like the character "Johnny" in Mad Max.

Answer: The jumper's name was Len McCleary. He was played by Michael Shaner and is credited for the role in the film (and on IMDB).

Answer: Also, "Johnny The Boy" from the first Mad Max film was played by Tim Burns, according to Wikipedia; not only is he a completely different actor, but he is also obviously not Mel Gibson's brother.
