Confessions of a Driving Instructor (1976) - 13 mistakes

Continuity: When the Lea family arrives at the rugby match, Tim parks the car in the car park. During the match you can see that the car has moved forward and is on the pavement. After the match, when Tony and Mary steal the car, it has moved back into the car park. Also, the front passenger window is open. It was shut when Tim parked the car.

Revealing: At the end of the film, when Tony crashes Tim's car at the driving test centre, you can see it has been changed for a wreck as just before he crashes there is damage to the front left hand side that wasn't there before.

Continuity: A the end off the film, when the Bentley crashes into the office at the driving test centre it is dry and sunny, then in the next shot the ground is all wet.

Continuity: During the sequence at the end of the film, when the car chase ends with several collisions at the driving test centre, the vehicles parked in the background change positions between shots.

Other: At the end of this film, at the driving test centre, a blue Austin 1800 is parked out of the way in the background, but in the next scene it is involved in the first of the collisions.

Revealing: The white Datsun, that passes the Bentley during the car chase at the driving test centre, can be seen in the next shot parked in the background.

Visible crew/equipment: After the rugby match, when Mr. Truscott gets into his Bentley, you can see the camera lights reflected in the car window.

Continuity: During the car chase, when we first see the pipe band marching down the road, there is a black Ford Cortina Estate parked in the road. But when the two cars speed past the band, the Cortina has moved into a driveway.

Continuity: At the end of the car chase when Tony crashes Tim's car into the wall of oil drums, the oil drums weren't there in the previous shot.

Continuity: At the beginning of the film when the green triumph herald is being trashed by Tim and miss Adez the front number plate disappears and reappears on the car between shots.

Factual error: Several times during the film Sid and Tim talk of taking learner drivers out at the same time. This would be difficult as their driving school only has one car.

Revealing: When the Bentley crashes into the office at the driving test centre, if you look carefully over the barrels you can see the green Triumph Herald that Tim and Miss Adez destroyed during the opening sequence.

Revealing: When Mrs. Slenderparts is driving down the motorway the wrong way, the same shot of oncoming cars swerving to avoid her is used twice.
