At the beginning the priest is loaded, wearing his collar, then orders a beer from the bar tender whom he tells his story to. But then at the end he starts getting drunk at Elfman's apartment (notice he starts slurring his speech after only one sip) then he leaves and carries the bottle around with him getting drunk. He's not wearing his collar at her apartment. Why would he put it back on to go into a bar? And if it was a different day, would you risk going back to a church while drunk and then dress like that the next day before going out to get drunk again? [After Brian leaves her apartment, we can see him waking up in his white shirt (=without collar) covered with a blanket. There's a homeless man next to him, covered with the same blanket. After this, Brian goes to the celebration in the temple and has a fight with the rabbi. Brian is wearing his collar right now. After this fight, he ends up in the bar.]
Mistakes
When Edward Norton shows the photo of himself, Jake and Anna as kids to the guy at the bar, he holds it with one hand in the wide shots (using his other hand to point at it), but with two hands in the close-up shot. See more...
Trivia
When Milos Forman, who plays Father Havel, talks to Edward Norton about faith in the private quarters of the church he tells Norton that he came to America when the Russians invaded Czechoslovakia. He actually did so in real life. See more...
Keeping the Faith (2000) - 4 corrections
Comments made in brackets are corrections from other visitors. As such, any aggressive/abusive corrections (and I get quite a few) written as if they're comments I've made myself will be ignored. To submit your own corrections for mistakes, just click the edit icon under an entry, then choose "correct entry". Some entries have "duplicated entry" after them - these are entries which were already listed on the main page, but were submitted again. I occasionally leave these online for a while, just in case they were moved in error, so don't worry about pointing them out to me.

The first time that Brian calls Anna during the night when he can't sleep, you see her and Jakob asleep in bed. They don't hear the answering machine. Brian does not call Anna's cell phone. The next morning you see that Jakob and Anna were sleeping at Jakob's apartment. How did Anna's answering machine get to Jakob's apartment and why would Brian, who doesn't anything know about their relationship, call Jakob's apartment in the middle of the night to speak to Anna? [When Brian speaks on the tape of the answering machine, we can see Anna and Jakob sleeping. In this shot, the walls are very dark, there are white lamps beside the bed, there is no window over the bed and the book shelves are missing and so it's obvious that they are not at his place.]
After Brian kisses Anna, he goes over to the drinks cabinet and takes a drink. He then looks at the bottles underneath then grabs one, looks at the label and puts it in his pocket. The camera cuts to Anna then back to Brian where he takes the same bottle, looks at the label, and stuffs it in his pocket again. [It is two separate bottles.]
