But in the end of this chase, we can see it in front of his face again (for example when the girls crash him for the last time and the car starts rotating). [I had thought the windscreen disappeared as well, but after watching it a few times, it is there for all the shots. The glare from the sun reflecting of the other parts of it makes it look like it is gone. Look for the blood spatters to see it's still there.]
