Trivia: In something of a weird tradition, every main villain in the "Rush Hour" movies dies by falling. Griffin in the original falls to his death from the ceiling of the exhibition. Ricky Tan is kicked out of a casino window to his death in "Rush Hour 2." And Kenji allows himself to fall to his death from the Eiffel Tower in this movie.
Trivia: In one scene, Chris Tucker orders gefilte fish. This is a bit of an inside joke to the outtakes for "Rush Hour 2." In that film, Chris Tucker was supposed to order gefilte fish in one scene, but Tucker simply could not pronounce the word "gefilte," so the scene was re-written. They later reincorporated the line into this film, just to see if Tucker would finally be able to pronounce it.
Trivia: "Rush Hour 3" was the first film in six years for co-star Chris Tucker. His prior film was "Rush Hour 2." And in fact, until appearing in "Silver Linings Playbook" in 2012, the only three films he had appeared in for the prior 14 years were the "Rush Hour" films.
Trivia: Originally, Detective Carter's father was going to have a cameo in the film, and he was going to be played by American Politician Herman Cain in a short, humorous scene. Trivia: The only "Rush Hour" film not to feature a Michael Jackson song. However, there are a few nods to Jackson in the film - notably Chris Tucker refers to himself as "Bubbles" in one scene - which was the name of Jackson's pet chimpanzee for a time.
