Mistake Continuity: When the Aunt flags down the cop car, the cop has his seat belt on, as the plant starts coming in the car to grab him and the car. He jumps out of the car without ever undoing his seat belt.

Mistake Continuity: When the monkeys are causing chaos in the kitchen, a monkey throws three knives at the kids. Two of them stay in the door, but one bounces off and only makes a nick in the wood. Later in the film, when Robin Williams is in the kitchen, and he blocks the door, you can see that the two knives that were stuck in the door are still there, but the nick in the wood has gone.

Mistake Continuity: When the insect sits on the windowshield of the car Robin Williams says that the insects can't make a hole, they are safe, then the insect makes a hole, the car drives away creating havoc on the road because of extreme bad driving. The car stops, they get out, then there is no hole in the windowshield.

Mistake Factual error: When it's 1968 we see a boy (I'm not sure which one so you'll have to look) riding a Shwinn Sting-Ray Krate Grey Ghost. That bike didn't come out until 1971 and they only made them that one year.

Mistake Continuity: When Peter runs out of the attic to the woodshed to get the axe, to the left of the attic door is a large filing cabinet, with nothing in front of it or beside it. Yet later when Peter is swinging the axe at the spiders, and following shots, a green suitcase has appeared in front if it.

Mistake Continuity: At the construction site, Alan claws through the mud, to get to the large metal box. His fingers get covered in mud, yet as he pulls the box out of the mud, and in following shots, the tops of his fingers and his fingernails are very clean.

Mistake Visible crew/equipment: In the scene with the big tarantulas, many times you can see the strings attached behind them, especially the one Peter swings the axe at.

Mistake Continuity: In one of the closeups of Alan sitting in the car as it is crashing through the displays inside the Sir Savalot Store, the background, visible through the driver's side window, is of open fields, trees and blue sky.

Mistake Revealing: During the monsoon scene, everyone is on a table trying to climb on the chandelier. Peter has been turned into a monkey, and his face is covered in hair and has the characterists of a monkeys face, yet in shots when they are on the table, like when the crocodile snaps at them on the table, just before Alan lifts Peter onto the chandelier, you can see the plain face of his stunt double, with no monkey features! Robin William's and Bonnie Hunt's doubles are rather obvious in these same shots too.

Mistake Visible crew/equipment: When grown up Alan is running around shouting "I'm Home!" after just arriving back from the jungle, the camera pans past a grandfather clock, and you can clearly see the legs of a crewmember reflected in the glass panel of the clock, moving in time with the camera.

Mistake Visible crew/equipment: At the beginning when the bats come out of the fireplace and chase young Sarah out of the house, you can very plainly see the reflection of the cameraman in the door handle after the doors close.

Mistake Continuity: Carl's cop car has the licence plate "G2298" which is printed thinly on the licence plate. Then, when the vine wraps around his car, and bends it in two, the licence plate is now "CFJB95", printed very boldly on the plate. The words "POLICE 004" also differ, as does the bumper and the lights. Totally new car, methinks...

Mistake Continuity: When the monkeys are destroying the kitchen the kids open the kitchen door and the monkey on top of the refrigerator knocks the cereal box to the floor. A few seconds later the cereal box is back on top of the refrigerator and the monkey knocks it over only spilling the contents.

Mistake Visible crew/equipment: In the scene when the pods and vines start growing all over the lounge, there is one shot of a green vine crawling towards a carpet, and then slithering under. Watch closely, near the carpet, and you can see the wire attached to, and controlling the vine, because the light shines on it, exposing it rather well for a second.

Mistake Continuity: When Sarah, Judy and Peter are in the store, where the riot is going on, they spot the Jumanji Board Game sitting on the till counter. To the right of the till is a very large "Sand and Water Activity Table" box. In one shot the box it facing so you can see the upper part/top of the box. It then cuts, and the box has mysteriously rotated 180°, so that you can now see the lower part/bottom of the box! In the same shots, there is a trolley by the till, with some items and a box in it. Cut back to the trolley and there's now two boxes in it! It then cuts, and the box is back to it's original position, and the box in the trolley disappears! If you look more closely, the entire shelf unit behind the counter is completely different!!!

Mistake Continuity: When Alan is trying to get Jumanji back from the pelican, he grabs a fish from the water, and his sleeve becomes soaking wet. In the next shot his sleeve is bone dry.

Mistake Continuity: When Peter rolls the dice prior to letting the monkeys loose, whilst him and Judy are in the attic, he rolls both "1"'s. The sides of the dice which are visible read "3" on one die and "4" on the other. Then when it cuts to a closeup of the boardpiece moving, the "4" now reads a "2", and the dice have also moved position.

Mistake Visible crew/equipment: Near the start when the young Alan goes to open the door and there is a close up of the handle you can clearly see the reflection of the camera man.

Mistake Continuity: In the store, Hunter Van Pelt shoots his gun and hits the side of the tyre shelf, making a nick/hole in the red paint. The size and shape of the nick/hole changes between the two closeups of it, before the chain snaps and releases the tyres.

Mistake Continuity: When Judy is talking with Carl outside the front of their house as Alan examines the police car, Judy's pigtails are alternatively in front of, or behind her shoulders during shots.

Mistake Continuity: After Alan traps the lion in the bedroom, it makes claw marks in the door. The marks change greatly from the first close-up of them being made, to the second shot when Alan walks away from the door.

Mistake Continuity: When Van Pelt shoots the tire shelf in the store, the attached red wood triangle support is actually different between shots - note paint and dings. Furthermore, dirt marks on the tires appear, and two of the slotted heads of the screws, that are screwed into the anchor eye plate, are turned facing opposite directions (before it breaks).

Mistake Factual error: When they are escaping from the giant mosquitos, Peter shifts the car into 1st gear, not drive.

Mistake Visible crew/equipment: When the police car gets dragged off by the vines, there are wires visible attached to the boot of the car.

Mistake Continuity: Throughout the day the sun seems to go from an afternoon dusk sun when Van Pelt returns to the house, to an overhead sun during the stampede in town. It also goes from overcast and cloudy to clear cloudless sky with sun from shot to shot.

Mistake Continuity: During the scene when Alan is trapped in the quicksand, and the others are giving him items to hold onto, you can see behind him, to the viewers right of the blue chair in the background, a small stack of newspapers. But in later shots, such as after Peter runs out of the attic to go to the shed, and we then see Judy crawl over and grab the wooden music stand, to hit the spiders, the stack of newpapers has vanished, and a few other items change position, like the tennis racket.

Mistake Audio problem: When the Bat Exterminator is pointing at the book in the attic, he says "Some kid said she saw a bunch of those back in the 60's." His mouth is visible in the screen, however it doesn't move at all.

Mistake Continuity: When the earthquake begins, the floorboards start to break in two, and Alan starts falling so Sarah holds onto him. Watch the small circular window in the wideshot. (the window that the mosquito flew out of earlier in the film) To the left of the circular window are some empty wooden beams, but no items. When it then cuts to a closeup of the window breaking in two, items have appeared on the beams, and there's a banjo hanging up etc.

Mistake Continuity: When all the monkeys are in the kitchen, Judy and Peter open the door to peek inside, and a monkey throws a tomato at the kitchen door, making a big stain of tomato juice on the door. When the monkey throws the knives at the door though, the stain has vanished, and the door is clean.

Mistake Continuity: After the stampede, Alan runs off, then so do Sarah and Peter, and then the phone rings, so Judy answers it. Down the hallway you can see a chandelier, barely swinging. Yet when it cuts to Judy answering the phone, the chandelier is swinging much more violently.

Mistake Continuity: In the attic, Peter takes the Jumanji pieces out of the compartment, then closes it. Then when he takes the dice out the compartment, the compartment lid is open, not closed, and no-one touched it.

Mistake Continuity: In the kitchen Alan opens the fridge and the monkey runs out. Judy is standing there and both her plaits are hanging behind her. In the next shot they are both hanging over her right shoulder.

Mistake Continuity: When the cop's car windshield gets destroyed, he says, "my car, my car..." When he's driving Alan, more of the glass is there.

Mistake Continuity: After Sarah and Alan have been embedded into the floor by the quicksand, she rolls the dice with her teeth onto the board that's been propped up on Alan's face. The next time we see the board, when Peter's fighting with the spiders, the board's completely flat on the floor, when Alan's head should be propping it up. There's no angle between the main board and the two halves that fold out, but they are bent downward in the previous shot. Also, after Alan moves the board, at first it's relatively perpendicular to his face. Then, a few shots later when the spiders are retreating because of the impending earthquake, the board's rotated 45 degrees and moved farther away. It wasn't moved by rumblings from the earthquake- this is before the ground actually begins to shake.

Mistake Continuity: After being startled by the grandfather clock, Alan drops the dice on the board. Between a wide shot and a close-up of the board, the location of where the dice fall changes greatly. They have also moved when Alan gets sucked into the game.

Mistake Continuity: After Peter discovers the bat in the attic, he runs downstairs screaming, and you can see a chair by the door of the attic with a white cloth sitting on it. However when Aunt Nora walks upstairs, there is no sheet on the chair.

Mistake Continuity: When the monkeys are in town looking at the electronics store TVs, there is no sun in front of the store. Once the angle changes to a front view, the sun is now shining where the monkeys were standing in shadow before.

Mistake Audio problem: When Von Pelt is chasing Alan outside the house, he turns to shoot at Carl the cop. If you count the shots heard fired, there is one more hole than bullets heard.

Mistake Continuity: When Van Pelt comes out of Jumanji, he starts shooting at Alan. Alan then runs through the brown doors, and Van Pelt shoots, misses, and blows a large hole into the door. Yet when they all return to the room, the hole in the door is smaller.

Mistake Continuity: When Alan explains who he is to Sarah, she peers out through a door that's only open a crack. But when the shot cuts to Alan, his entire head and practically both his shoulders are visible through the door. When it switches back to Sarah, Alan appears to be at least two feet away (since he's totally out of the shot) and the door is still open the crack of a few inches.

Mistake Visible crew/equipment: Just before the monsoon, everyone is in the attic and Judy tells Sarah that she needs to roll a 12 to win. When it cuts to Peter, you can see his tail behind him, and the wire attached to the tail is visible, holding it up and swinging it about.

Mistake Deliberate "mistake": When the house is splitting in two, the board game should have fallen long before it actually does.

Mistake Continuity: When Alan's dad enters the car, he turns it on, yet you don't hear the engine start. When he shifts gears, you finally hear it start.

Mistake Continuity: When the LeBaron gets hit by the ambulance, we see that it comes to a stop about 10-15 feet from the corner. When the paramedics come out to help the woman in the car, it is now right at the corner.

Mistake Revealing: When Alan's face is stuck into the floorboards, after they had turned to quicksand, the boards assumingly go back to being hard and wooden, yet in shots of Alan talking you can see the boards bounce/wobble slightly, showing they are rubber.

Mistake Continuity: When Alan drops the dice, after being startled by the clock chimimng, one die reads 3, the other 2. Yet when his board piece starts to move, you can see both of the sides of the dice, both reading 2.

Mistake Revealing: During the monsoon scene, Sarah has both her feet aginst the jaws of the crocodile, and so Alan jumps from the chandelier, and dives into the water. As he dives into the water, watch Sarah's feet, and her left foot slips into the crocodiles mouth, and his upper jaw slams down on it! The crocodile has a row of sharp teeth on at the front of it's mouth, which come down onto her shoe. That would be painful, yet she doesn't scream/limp/complain.

Mistake Visible crew/equipment: When the lion first emerges from the Jumanji, Alan tackles with it and it then jumps at him, and lands on a long carpet, and goes sliding along on the carpet, into a bedroom. The black wire used for pulling the carpet along is visible, yet best seen in slow motion.

Mistake Continuity: The licence plate on Carl's car is "G2298" but after finding the car which the monkeys had smashed into a tree, as he reverses, the plate is "DBA 454."

Mistake Continuity: While Alan is handcuffing Carl to the police car, the sky is clear and the sun is shining from the left (driver's) side of the car (indicated by strong shadows). As Alan is tossing the cuff keys away, the camera cuts to a view of the back of the police car which was shot on an overcast day, with the shadows very muted, and the sun coming from the car's right side. The view cuts again as Alan turns to run back to the police car, and we're back in bright sunlight from the left side. A couple shots later, as the car is reversing into the quick U-turn, the sun is shining from the car's right side again, this time with strong shadows.

Mistake Continuity: When Alan is eating dinner, and his father is shouting at him, the fork and knife on Alan's dinner plate moves around between shots.

Mistake Continuity: As Mrs. Thomas is being taken from her car, after being bitten by the mosquito, the men put her on a pedestal and you can see she is wearing long green boots that nearly reach up to her knees. Yet when they are putting her into the ambulance, she has black heeled shoes on.

Mistake Continuity: When Robin Williams and the cop are driving to the store in the cop car after the windshield was broken, neither of their hair is messed up and they can see clearly.

Mistake Continuity: When the hunter fires at the cop (with his old gun) he fires once and the cop ducks behind the car. We see three bullet holes in the car when there should only be one.
