Plot hole: This should put an end to the corrections to the women driving a minivan over 1300 miles from Ohio to Madrid, NM in approximately 12 hours as depicted in the movie: In 2007, the 24 hours of Lemans race was won by an Audi which covered 3115 miles in the 24 hour race. By extension, we can safely assume the car covered a little over 1500 miles in 12 hours, either the first half or second half of the race. This *race* car averaged 129.96 mph to reach this distance. The movie would have us believe the women (I've been married twice, and don't care how angry the wives were, the state police would pull them over long before they hit 100 mph, let alone *averaged* over 100 mph to make the distance) drove a non race-prepped family Chrysler minivan (top speed 114 mph with the V6, if it's the newest model, which this one wasn't) in a slightly longer time than an Audi endurance race car could cover the same distance on a controlled race track. And the women would not have been able to make pit stops or refuelling stops as quickly as the race car, either. It simply could not happen.
