Grindhouse

Continuity mistake: When the three girls are in the white Dodge, ready to leave on a test drive, the 4th girl is in a chair while the car is seen from the side in the background. The car has no silver window frame on the door, yet for the rest of the film, it does have the frames. (01:27:20)

Continuity mistake: During the chase with Zoe Bell on the hood, a shot looking forward from outside the driver-side door shows that the fender's 'Challenger' emblem is missing. Moments later, it's there. (01:34:05 - 01:34:45)

Continuity mistake: When the driver of the white car first shoots at Mike, he drives off. The next shot shows the Challenger is wearing the very shiny beauty rings on its wheels that we saw prominently ejected from the car earlier in the chase. (01:35:40 - 01:38:10)

Continuity mistake: Mike's car is to the left of the white car as he turns right to send the white car out of control. As the cars bump, the road ahead is straight, with wire fencing along both sides, and not a side road or driveway entrance is in sight. Yet the angle changes and the white car slides safely into a wide, setback, dirt driveway with an obvious metal gate and orange safety poles. (01:35:40)

Continuity mistake: At one point in the big chase, Mike's car causes the other to spin out and reverse direction. As the white car is sliding around toward the left, Mike's car swerves to the right to make the same turn behind them. Yet the inside view shows the white car sliding to a stop and Mikes car is ahead of them. (01:35:40)

Continuity mistake: Mike avoids colliding head-on with a pickup by swerving off the road into a farm field. He does this after passing a tractor and flatbed truck to his right. The shot changes and he is turning off the road into the field between the tractor and truck. (01:36:50)

Visible crew/equipment: When Zoe climbs into the open widow and straddles it, the car reverses, exposing tire tread marks on the road left from a previous take of this same shot. The car turns left and accelerates, leaving a second set of such tracks. (01:39:55)

Continuity mistake: When the two cars leap off a dirt ramp as they approach the highway on the dirt road, we can see the highway ahead has not one car on it. But when the shot changes, a bunch of oncoming cars are braking to avoid the two speeders that are crossing ahead of them. (01:44:10)

Continuity mistake: When the chase continues onto the highway, the black Charger is shown catching and passing a gray Chevy Suburban with oversize tires. The SUV is at the front of the pack of traffic. Without slowing, and after zig-zagging through additional traffic that is miraculously ahead of the SUV, the chase arrives at the rear of the same Suburban again, and the white Challenger hits it, sending the SUV out of control. (01:44:40 - 01:45:20)

Continuity mistake: When the white car returns from the side road to collide with the black car, the interior shot from the white car shows they miss hitting the black one and are pulling in behind it. The rearward outside shot that follows shows the white car striking the black one in the driver's door. (01:48:10)

Continuity mistake: During the final car chase of Death Proof, there is a mirror on the windshield of the Challenger which disappears. The next scene shows it back on the windshield.

Continuity mistake: During the car chase in Death Proof you frequently see that the bumps and scratches on the sides of the white car change (and disappear) so it is obvious that they are using several different cars during the scene.

Continuity mistake: During the final car chase of Death Proof, just before the girls are sent on the side road, you can see skid marks on the highway just before the curve. In the next scene, when they are closer, no skid marks are visible, and they have not passed over the skid marks. The next scene after that shows Kurt Russel skidding the Charger.

Continuity mistake: At the end of the movie "Death Proof", you will see Stuntman Mike's car roll over by the white Dodge Challenger, driven by the 3 girls. In the scene where both cars are showing their front/back, you can see that the black one has its wheels (at least on the left side). But in the next close-up scene, where Mike screams for help in the car and the 3 girls come to pull him out from the wreckage, the rear left wheel is missing, you can only see its brake plate/rear axle. Where did the wheel go?

Continuity mistake: When Zoe Bell is riding the hood for "Ship's Mast" - and is hit from behind by Mike a couple of times - she's on her back hanging onto the belt, and then the next shot she is facing the road head first, then on her back again.

ckbyers

Continuity mistake: When the chase ends with the big crash, Mike's car rests roadside with the driver's door still attached and fully closed. But as the girls walk over, the door is disconnected from the car and resting against the fender. Mike is seriously injured, slumped down and hanging out of the doorway, crying out in the pain. Obviously he hasn't gotten out, detached the door and returned to his seat.

Henchman: Please, Father. Have mercy.
Priest: God has mercy. I don't.

Trivia: The first posters for the "Planet Terror" segment of this film showed Rose McGowan's left leg with the machine gun leg, while the movie trailer shows it as her right. Newer posters had to be made to fix this mistake, as it is her right leg in the film.
