Directed by Martin Campbell, starring Daniel Craig, Eva Green, Jeffrey Wright, Judi Dench, Mads Mikkelsen (add more)

Genres: Action, Adventure, Thriller

Like Batman Begins, this is a reboot of Bond continuity, so no mistakes relating to the timeline (ie. Judi Dench still being M) are valid.

Mistake Continuity: In a scene towards the end of the movie where Bond and Vesper are lying on the beach, Bond has sand on his back through most of the scene. When they start to kiss, in the distant shot towards the end of the scene, he has no sand on his back at all.

Mistake Revealing: During the scene at the restaurant in Montenegro (actually filmed in the Czech Republic) you see a payphone with a Czech Telecom logo on it (itself a piece of history as these are all now rebranded O2).

Mistake Factual error: In the scenes at Miami airport you see numerous CSA planes (Czech Airlines). Czech Airlines offer no direct flights to Miami, however Prague airport, where this scene was shot, is full of CSA planes.

Mistake Continuity: When Bond starts to type his resignation letter on the boat in Venice he's wearing an Omega Planet Ocean watch with a black strap. When he finishes typing and closes the laptop he's wearing an Omega Seamaster with a silver strap - a completely different watch.

Mistake Factual error: If a house collapses into the waters of a Venice channel, after the collapse the water would be so murky that the under water visibility would be zero. But in the underwater scene the visibility is like that of a swimming pool.

Mistake Continuity: When Bond enters his password in the casino, the last two buttons he presses are 4 and 7. He later gives the password as Vesper. On an alpha-numeric keypad, the last two digits of Vesper should be 3 and 7.

Mistake Continuity: Just after Vesper has shocked James, the lead connecting the defibrillator to the chest pad can be seen to have come loose. When the camera cuts back to James, the lead has been reconnected. Note this is after the shock, not the disconnected lead that forms the drama.

Mistake Visible crew/equipment: Bond follows the girl through the streets of Venice. The camera follows him with a track-shot. Bond turns left, going into some kind of alley, and the dolly keeps going. The dolly, camera and crew are reflected in a window for a second.

Mistake Continuity: During the chase at Miami airport the gas truck gets shot at and the rear tires blow. When Bond slides the truck to a halt the tires are fully inflated again.

Mistake Revealing: When James Bond is supposedly in Montenegro, this was filmed in the Czech Republic - although they changed most of the signs they forgot some. When they are having a drink in the square there is a visible sign saying "Bily Kun" which means "White Horse" in Czech.

Mistake Continuity: When Bond is being tortured in the seatless wicker chair, in one shot when you look at the right side of Bond's face the blood is running in an unbroken line down his face. The next shot where you see his face the blood has been smudged, but in the next shot, where you see his right cheek, the blood is running unbroken again. This happens a few times in this scene.

Mistake Visible crew/equipment: In the scene where Bond is following the bomber in Miami Airport, when the bomber goes through the security door using the ellipsis password, and proceeds down the corridor,Bond tries to catch the door before it shuts. There is a hand visible which pulls the door shut for a brief second and holds the door in place.

Mistake Continuity: During the scene in Miami at the Body World exhibit when Dimitri leaves the baggage tag for the second bomber the position of the baggage tag changes between shots.

Mistake Continuity: At the Poker game between Bond and Dimitrios the chips change place during shots. Most noticeable on Dimitrios' small stack (two black chip stacks and one green) in the overhead shots they are on the black line of the table carpet, in the shots from the sides, they are in between two black lines. The same is with Dimitrios' cards and his good luck token.

Mistake Revealing: When Bond tries to rescue Vesper from the sunken elevator you can see the stripes from the diving equipment on Vesper's face.

Mistake Factual error: Someone with Bond's training should know that to resuscitate a drowning victim, you first have to force the water from their lungs. Second, to perform CPR properly, you must tilt the head back, or you will just fill the stomach with air.

Mistake Revealing: Near the end of the movie when Bond shoots Mr. White in the leg, you can see that Mr. White is wearing knee-pads under his pants.

Mistake Factual error: When James Bond is swimming underwater, trying desperately to save the trapped Vesper, if you look, he is constantly yelling and exhaling, sending bubbles from his mouth. The problem is that this continues almost constantly for at least a full minute. Nobody has the sort of lung capacity that enables them to expel that much air and still function underwater for that long.

Mistake Deliberate "mistake": When Bond performs CPR on Vesper, he isn't really blowing into her mouth. You'd be able to see her chest lift when he blows air into her lungs - even if she was dead.

Mistake Factual error: The name of the bank holding the winnings for the poker game is incorrrectly configured. The formulation of banks referencing cities in Switzerland (and Germany) are such that the name of the "Basel Bank" would actually be the "Basler Bank" in the same way that the "Zuerich Bank" would be "Zuercher Bank," usw. It is not a mistake that there is no such bank as the Basel Bank (because some bank would have to pay for such excellent product placement). However, there would never be a bank named Basel Bank in Switzerland. It would be named Basler Bank.

Mistake Continuity: In the Ugandan freedom fighter's hut, the commander is playing pinball when Le Chiffre arrives. His game score clicks over to 1049 as he hands the machine to a young boy. In the next shot of the boy playing the score is somewhere in the 500's only.

Mistake Visible crew/equipment: In the sinking house scene, during the shot of the house sinking just before Bond gets slashed across the chest, a blue screen can be seen briefly in the top right of the shot. This was put behind the model of the house during production. It would be hard to pass this off for sky as it is a very dark shade of blue.

Mistake Continuity: During the scene inside the sinking building in Venice, at 2:10:40, there is a shot of one of the floors collapsing. This allows debris, tools, ropes, rags, etc, to fall through the floor. 22 seconds later (2:11:02) they show another scene of a floor collapsing. This is the same event but has been shot from a different angle. If you look carefully, the same black rags can be seen getting hung up on one of the boards as the debris falls.

Mistake Continuity: At the end of the scene where Bond rolls the Astin Martin, during the wide shot just as the car finishes the last roll, the windshield is still on the car. In fact you can see the windshield fall back into a "normal" position. However, when the shot changes to the close-up of Bond in the car the windshield is no longer there.

Mistake Revealing: In the beginning of the film, when Bond is talking to Dryden, the wire used to flip the chair is visible leading from the chair, off screen.

Mistake Revealing: Bond has just stormed the embassy and taken the bomb maker as a hostage. As they walk down a hallway, the bomb maker is shot in the leg. The squib that is planted under his trouser leg is outlined.

Mistake Audio problem: In the scene in the shower when Vesper says that she feels she has blood on her hands that won't come off, her mouth says "hold me" but she actually says something different. Also she says "please" but nothing is heard.

Mistake Revealing: When Bond is running up the crane to catch up with the bomb maker at the construction site there is traction tape, to help Daniel Craig keep his footing on the smooth metal surface, visible on the crane. It wasn't put there as though for the construction crew's use because it is only placed on the part of the crane that we actually see Bond running on.

Mistake Continuity: During the 1st break of the big game Bond is all covered with blood and his hands and face are wounded. After he washes the blood and changes his shirt he returns to the game and his wounds are healed.

Mistake Continuity: On top of the collapsed building, when Bond has given up trying to revive Vesper, in a close-up shot, Vesper's head is resting below a piece of light wood inlaid into the much darker roof. Cut to a very far shot, just before Bond holds her, and her head is now right on this wood.

Mistake Visible crew/equipment: Lighting equipment is visible in Mathis' sunglasses, just before he is shocked while talking to Bond.

Mistake Continuity: At the Miami airport, the terrorist kills a truck driver. Even though he's dead, the driver's head keeps moving between shots.

Mistake Continuity: When Bond shoots the guy at Praha, the bullet comes too late. You can see it.

Mistake Continuity: In the second half of the scene with Bond and Vesper seated across from each other on the train, Vesper's armrests are down in the shots showing both her and Bond but they are up in the close-ups of her face.

Mistake Continuity: In the surveillance room at the club in Bahamas there is a clock in the background on the wall that reads 12.16. In the second shot the clock suddenly changes to 12.21.

Mistake Plot hole: In the scene where the guy is gonna blow up the truck at Miami airport, James is caught by police and the guy looks at his phone. The time on the phone reads 2:13 yet when the guy puts the keyring on the truck and then looks at his phone again it still reads exactly the same time.

Mistake Other: In the sinking building when James Bond pulls the electric wire from the wall and puts it to the bad guy, at first he is not touching with anything but the wire. The next shot with Bond in it shows Bond holding the bad guy at the shoulder. Both would be electrocuted at this point.

Mistake Continuity: In the scene where James is giving Vesper CPR, the water is seen churning and bubbling through the skylight, and flowing over the roof but the building was no longer sinking at that point so the water would've settled. Also, everything around the building that sunk is perfectly dry.

Mistake Continuity: When Carlos the bomber goes through the security door at Miami airport, he enters the door from a brightly lit area. We then cut to him emerging from the door - behind the door is completely dark. We then cut back to the door closing from the other side, showing that it's definitely intended to be the same door.

Mistake Factual error: During the nail gun fight in the sinking building one may have a nail gun's safety removed (I own one) to fire in rapid succession however, there is no battery pack or air hose attached to charge it to allow it to fire. Also, the nails used were the incorrect size (too large) for the gun and the heads of the nails were not the type used in any nail gun. There should be a notch in the head to allow the nails to lay on top of each other in the nail magazine.

Mistake Factual error: At the Miami airport, the bomber turns a key in something marked 'Emergency Sprinkler Override'. An 'override' would turn the sprinkler system off, not on. Sprinkler systems are always filled with pressurized water. When a fire occurs, a lead link in a sprinkler head melts after reaching a designed temperature. This allows water to flow only through the specific sprinkler head(s) above the fire. You can turn an entire sprinkler system off by interrupting the flow of water into the system, but you can never turn an entire system 'on' with the flip of a switch or turn of a valve.

Mistake Deliberate "mistake": On the roof of the sunken building, Bond tries CPR on Vesper, then quits when he realizes that she is dead and sits away from her body. Watch her right leg carefully when he returns to her body and cradles her in his arms - she flexes it upwards at the knee. Yes, I know that electrical impulses in a dead body can cause muscle movements, but this was obviously the actress involuntarily bracing herself from slipping on the slanted surface. Cut to Mr. White walking away with the money and when the camera returns to the roof, Vesper's leg is lying flat again.

Mistake Continuity: After the torture scene, just after La Chiffre says he will feed Bond his "parts" you hear a scream from within the ship and then a gunshot. The camera shot then focuses on the ship's hatch. The handle on this door has changed from when the rest of the group went into the ship. The handle is now pointed to the right in the open position instead of straight up as it was when they locked the door. Just before "Mr. White" comes out of the hatch, you can hear the sound of the handle moving to the open position without any movement of the handle.

Mistake Continuity: During the first scene in M's flat the glass coffee table changes position. When we first see the coffee table it is square to the rug and fire place, however in the next shots it has been moved approximately 45 degrees to the right.

Mistake Continuity: When Bond is following Vesper, when he turns right to follow her through the alleyway the street behind him gets a lot more populated between shots.

Mistake Continuity: Near the end when Bond is following Vesper, the camera shows her from behind and then from the front, the people around her are completely different people.

Mistake Revealing: During the close up shots of Le Chiffre when he's torturing Bond, the contact lens used to make his left eye pale blue is visible.

Mistake Revealing: Towards the beginning of the film, when Bond jumps off the van into the embassy, the patch of ground he lands on is obviously a landing mat with leaves and turf covering it.

Mistake Continuity: When Bond first gets into his Aston Martin outside the Casino Royale, the driver's door is open. Then the shot cuts and the door is closed.

Mistake Continuity: When Bond sees Vesper sitting in the shower, after they have killed the two Ugandan rebels, the shower screen is completely clear (or may have been removed to give the shot more impact), but then has huge droplets on it when he joins her.

Mistake Factual error: In one scene, Bond blows up a petrol tank (or something similar to it) with his 9mm. But, a peashooter like the 9 mil couldn't possibly puncture a tank like that! And, even if it could, the result wouldn't be explosive. It would let off a lot of steam, but that's it. You would need incendiary rounds to do anything remotely similar to what we see in the movie and a much bigger, fully automatic, machine gun.

Mistake Continuity: At the end where the building gets destroyed, in one of the shots on top of the destroyed building, Bond is looking at Vesper and her head is facing to the left. However in the very next shot and for a few more shots, her head is suddenly facing straight up at Bond.

Mistake Other: During the chase with the fuel truck at the Miami airport, Bond depresses the brakes, which apparently aren't working, and the truck rolls on. Two problems: first, after almost hitting the plane and sliding sideways, the brakes skid to a halt and you can hear air discharging from the brake system. Which brings up the second problem: since the truck is air brake equipped, there is no way it would have continued rolling if the brakes were malfunctioning. Part of the air brake system on all trucks since 1974, have a safety feature which "dynamite" the brakes if there is no air pressure in the system. This locks up the brakes with the spring brake system, making the truck stop. The truck was newer than 1974, meaning it would have had the CVSS safety braking system from the manufacturer, and would have skidded to a stop if there was no air in the system.

Mistake Continuity: When the house in Venice is collapsing - and it is shown from the outside - it moves quite fast. When it is shown from the inside it is not moving at all. Also the inside scenes last so long that based on the speed seen on the outside, the house would have been submerged long before the fight ends.

Mistake Factual error: While Bond is watching the surveillance video in the security office at the Ocean Club he references the cell phone for the time the call was made. However, the phone also provides a geographic coordinate (59.47N 57.45W). These coordinates are located between Newfoundland Canada, and Greenland in the middle of the North Atlantic. This does not correlate to either where the call originated or where it was received.

Mistake Continuity: The position of the Range Rover in the car alarm scene changes when Bond looks at it on the security monitor just a few seconds later.

Mistake Continuity: Near the start, when the Ugandan is thinking about the money, his hands are together in front of him. At first his fingertips are crossed, then in the next shot they're suddenly placed together.

Mistake Continuity: Le Chiffre's scar on his eye changes colour, size and position during the movie. Most noticeably it is much more red and sharply drawn during the final poker game than it is in the opening scene in Uganda.

Mistake Factual error: In the final fight, in the house in Venice, a bad guy shoots a nail gun at Bond. Nail guns use safety catches that prevent them from firing unless pressed firmly against a surface. Although this safety can (on some models) be pulled back to allow a nail to fire, this is never shown to be the case, and since the gun was picked up from a construction site it can't have been modified by the bad guys.

Mistake Factual error: In the scene in which Bond is in his car after being poisoned, attempting to set up his defibrillator, the cardiac monitor at M16 headquarters (or wherever that was) displays "ventricular tachycardia". The rapid beeping of the monitor makes this serious heart arrhythmia plausible, but the beeping then gradually slows, suggesting 2nd or 3rd degree heart block or approaching asystole (complete absence of heartbeat) rather than continued ventricular tachycardia or cardiac arrest (ventricular fibrillation). As tension mounts with his apparent impending death, the loose lead is reconnected, the defibrillator finally fires and he is saved. This sequence is not credible because defibrillation has no place in treating a slow heart rhythm, and certainly not heart block or asystole. The "correct" sequence of events should have been deterioration of ventricular tachycardia to ventricular fibrillation, and then the defibrillator shock to convert his heart back to a normal, life-saving rhythm.
