Saw III (2006) - 124 mistakes

Continuity: As Kerry walks to check out the pieces of the body you can see the evidence markers 7 and 8 are right next to a piece of arm (or leg), but when they start cutting to different pieces only the 7 is by the leg.

Continuity: When Kerry reaches up the second time to try and get the key you can see the acid burns (a few, but not a whole lot of blood) on her hand. There is a quick cut where her hand is poised over the jar of acid and her hand has suddenly become almost entirely red and bloody.

Continuity: The guy that is in chains stands up, looks around and takes in what he sees. There's a shot of him from the front and his hands are semi-clenched in FRONT of him, around waist level. The shot cuts to behind him and his hands are a good 4 or 5 inches OUTSIDE of his hips.

Continuity: There is a shot when Tony (chained man) is listening to Jigsaw's message where blood drops out of his mouth and runs down his chin, but in the next close-up of Tony you can see that most of the blood has mysteriously disappeared (he still has blood on his chin, but it looks the same way that it did BEFORE he drooled blood all over the place).

Revealing: After Tony rips his right hand from the chain you can see that the wound doesn't go all the way down to between his fingers, it stop about 1/2 an inch from the webbing of the fingers. The only way to get the chain out oh his hand was to completely rip it out between his fingers, the wound should have gone all the way out. (somewhat difficult to see, but just look carefully [slow-mo helps, but it NOT required to see this mistake]).

Continuity: After the scene of Tony there is a shot of Kerry and Rigg, the detective is in the background inspecting a piece of the chain. The shot moves to the background detective for a second and he looks up at something. The shot instantly cuts back to Kerry and Rigg and the background detective is suddenly looking down at the chain again.

Continuity: When Kerry is explaining how the Tony case doesn't match up she puts her hands in her pockets and leans up against the wall. The shot cuts to a view of Rigg and the detective and she's still leaning against the wall, the cuts back to her and she's standing up straight again (instant cuts, no time to move).

Continuity: When Kerry is talking to Rigg and the detective she is almost directly in front of the door. When the other girl says "You won't believe this, we got the tape out clean" the camera pans around and you can see that Kerry is now in front of the chalk boards.

Continuity: Kerry wipes off the steamed up mirror and sees Eric in the reflection, she gasps and turns around. She looks back at the mirror and you can see that the hand wipe marks where she wiped the steam off are completely different.

Continuity: In the first shot of Kerry watching the Jigsaw tape you can see 2 folders to her left. She fast forwards the tape a bit, the shot cuts back to her, and one folder is inside of the other. Also, all the pictures spread out in front of her change positions and placement drastically.

Continuity: When Kerry is sneaking up to the door, you can see on the TV that she raises her gun up to her chest, but then the shot cuts away (instant cut) and she's still aiming the gun at the closet.

Continuity: The key is bubbling when it first drops in the acid, and continues bubbling throughout most of the scene. As Jigsaw's message is winding down, the bubbling dies down and stops. But it's bubbling full force again when the detective goes to put her hand in the jar.

Continuity: In one shot, when Kerry is in the 'Angel' trap, her right hand is on the chain. The shot cuts away to an over-her-shoulder view and her hand is off the chain. The shot cuts back to show her and her hand is back on the chain.

Continuity: The acid is completely red after the woman puts in her hand. The acid jar is then completely clear throughout the rest of the scene.

Continuity: When Amanda tells Lynn "Let me give you the simple version" there are several hairs that are across Lynn's face, the next shot of Lynn has her hair back nice and neat.

Continuity: When Jeff is inside the box he kicks out 2 boards, when the shot cuts to the outside there's only one board missing.

Continuity: When Jeff comes in to his daughter's room the blanket that she has around her chin changes position from shot to shot. It goes from right next to her chin, the a few inches below it, all the way down to spread out on her bed. She doesn't change position in any of the shots, so she couldn't have pulled it off herself.

Continuity: The red cloth (bag?) that's covering the gun changes its position DRASTICALLY between the first time you see it (then he talks to his daughter when she comes in the room) and then the second time you see it. The first time the back half of it is folded back over itself and it's almost tucked under Jeff's leg. The next time you see it it's completely spread out flat. Jeff didn't rearrange it while he talked to it daughter, it just "magically" happened.

Continuity: A little bit after you first see Jeff there is a shot of Amanda looking into Jigsaw's room. Lynn is telling Jigsaw to look at her. The pillow is about three-quarters of the way down Jigsaw's head, almost down to his neck. The shot cuts to a closer view of him and now the pillow in a good 8-10 inches higher on his head, up past his ears.

Continuity: Look at Jigsaw's oxygen mask first time Lynn tells him "Look at my flashlight". The mask is next to his neck, lying flat on his shoulder. The shot cuts to Lynn for a second, then back to Jigsaw, now the mask is standing vertical and almost touching his cheek.
