Employee of the Month (2006) - 9 mistakes
starring Andy Dick, Dane Cook, Dax Shepard, Jessica Simpson (add more)
Revealing: Jorge misses scanning the barcode on the tire by several inches at the end of the competition, yet rings up anyway.
Continuity: When Zach is getting ready for his date with Amy, Zack's beard length changes from a "five o'clock shadow", to a full beard, back to a "five o'clock shadow", between three shots.
Continuity: During the baseball game, the shot right before Zack finally leaves the store to come play shows the scoreboard at a 0-0 game in the first inning. The scoreboard shot before that one just showed the score as being 2-8.
Continuity: In the scene where Semi is being questioned about the permanent marker, the chain on his neck changes position in every shot.
Factual error: The kind of CCD barcode scanners used by the cashiers in the movie have a maximum read range of just a few inches (or less). Given this limitation, it would not be possible for Vince to scan the tire from as far away as he did in the beginning of the movie.
Continuity: During the checkstand competition Jorge gets tangled in Vince's scanner cord and backflips onto his face. A split second shot change and he's back on his feet pushing the cord out of his way. Then finally in the next shot he his shown just coming to his feet.
Continuity: During the scene when Zack sneaks into the cashier's lounge, his buddies are spying on him with a pirate telescope. However when Iqbal hands it to Russell to take a look, the shot is now zoomed in to Zack swiping the card in the slot. This would be impossible as the telescope is fixed to one focal point and was already fully extended for the first shot.
Plot hole: When Zach first talks to Amy, he advises her not to use the excuse "I work here". But Zach was still walking over to her when she said that, so there's no way he could have known she said it.
