The rifles that Jake Cutter has Paul Regret dig up are Henry repeaters, weapons unavailable in the period depicted in the movie. [The rifles Cutter and Regret dig up are 1866 Winchesters, not Henrys. They look similar, but the 1866 has a loading port on the right side of the receiver, Henrys do not.]
