Mistake Factual error: In the scene with all the shoes and desserts, there is a close up of a purple pair of Chuck Taylor's, which definitely were not around in the 1700's.

Mistake Continuity: Marie-Antoinette's birthday is on November 2, but when they watch the sunrise, you can see spring wildflowers scattered all over.

Mistake Other: When Marie Antoinette asks to be excused from a small reunion at Versailles (after she fantasizes about Fersen), she goes almost running though a hall. If you look at the lamps of the ceiling, they all have light bulbs instead of candles.

Mistake Factual error: In the scene where Marie is trying on shoes, a pair of powder blue high top sneakers can be seen next to her feet. It must have been done intentionally, but since there is no trace of modern apparel anywhere else in the film (the closest would be the mere mention of hot pink dress fabric but, as it's not shown, we don't know what exactly Marie calls "hot pink") these shoes (and the fabric) can't be considered part of a thematic element or artistic license, making this a factual error.
