Debi Newberry: You're a psychopath.

Martin Blank: No, no. Psychopaths kill for no reason. I kill for money. It's a job... That didn't come out right.

Mistakes

This mistake takes place at the beginning of the film, after Martin has shot the hitman on the bicycle. When Dan Aykroyd appears and kills the men in front of what appears to be a hotel (the intended victims of the man on the bike), he unleashes a barrage of gunfire from 2 revolvers. It's difficult to count the exact number of gunshots, but it is at least twice as much as the capacity of two revolvers (even if each weapon holds 8 rounds, which most don't). A typical Hollywood mistake, where reloading isn't needed. See more...

Trivia

Entry Was Doom II (the game played in the Ultimart) ever ported to an arcade machine? I think it would be difficult to produce a real coin-op version of the game (a lot of custom hardware and programming - I don't think any arcade hardware could support Doom back then). Making a prop would be easy by sticking a PC with a TV monitor (to prevent flicker) in a cabinet mock-up, or even just run a pre-recorded tape of someone playing Doom and just have the actor mime it. [No, Doom II was never available in a commerical arcade cabinet. It must have been specifically designed for the movie.]
Entry Does anyone know what kind of pistols Martin Blank uses in this film? Also, is the gunfire sound they make accurate? It's very distinctive. [His pistols are 9mm Glock 17's (http://www.glock.com/g17.jpg). No movie firearm shot is authentic as it would sound very flat and unexciting because the blank rounds used are very quiet (not much louder than clapping your hands actually). The shot sounds are added in post production.]
