At the start of the film you see Corey packing all of his stuff into a bag. Then he jumps off his house roof onto a ramp and hitch hikes his way to LA. All the time while he is doing this he is only carrying a little bag. But when he gets to LA and he meets up with his friends he has somehow got a really big bag. [The bag was sent before he arrived most likely by his parents. It is already in the van when he gets to LA.]
