Good Burger (1997) - 33 mistakes

Other: When Dexter is explaining the contract to Ed, Ed pulls out a pen and clicks it. In the next camera angle, Dexter hands him a pen.

Continuity: When Ed is skating through the park and the baby gets mixed up with the players, they throw the baby through the hoop. If you watch, the man who threw the baby through the hoop doesn't have sleeves, but when it shows the baby being caught, the catcher has sleeves. Then it goes back to the person who supposedly caught him, but he has no sleeves again.

Continuity: When Ed drives into Dexter's teacher's mailbox, he throws all his letters into the air. In next shot, he still has one in hand.

Audio problem: As they are running away in the ice cream truck, Ed turns on the jingle and starts dancing. Dexter gets annoyed and turns the jingle off, but the music stops about a second before he hits the button.

Other: When Kirk is putting the shark poison in the sauce look at the color of the poison it keeps changing colors.

Other: When Dexter, Ed, and Otis are in the insane asylum, watch Otis's lips as Dexter says, "That means we only got 4 hours to warm 'em." He is mouthing along with Dexter's line.

Continuity: When Dexter tells Ed at the end to count to ten, between shots, a yellow light is on his face, and then it isn't.

Other: In the scene where Dexter is telling his teacher he can fix the car damage; you see about four teens walking home from school in the background. One of them waves at the camera twice and then walks away.

Continuity: When Dexter is trying out for Mondo Burger and Kurt says to take out the trash, the guy behind Dexter moves closer to him between shots.

Continuity: When the guy says that he can't wait for Mondo Burger to open, the guy is nodding his head, but in the next shot he isn't.

Continuity: At the start, the teacher is in the room, then in the next shot, when Dexter walks out of the room, the teacher comes in.

Continuity: In the scene near the end of the movie, where Ed and Dexter are about to sneak into Mondo Burger to steal the chemical, when they hide behind the moving Frito-Lay truck they are still in the uniforms from Demented Hills, but in the next shot when they sneak around the corner, they are back in their Good Burger uniforms. And you never see the Demented Hills clothes again.

Deliberate "mistake": As the Mondo Burger building is falling apart, customers and employees run out the doors. The glass doors then shatter. Not only do they break at the exact same time, there was nothing to make the windows shatter as hard as they did.

Revealing: When Ed and Dexter are in the ventlation shaft, watch when they fall in the trolley thing. If you look carefully you can see Ed's wig hanging on the edge. It's got a good burger hat on it.

Continuity: When Ed tries to fix the Good Shake machine, it's pink, but the rest of the film, it's red.

Continuity: When Dexter and Monique walk away once they've kissed each other, you don't see Ed and his date, but in the next shot of them, they're right by the Good Burger door, which they weren't before.

Continuity: When Dexter is on a date with the girl from Good Burger, she hits her ball and puts her head up, but in the next shot her head is down again.

Other: When Dexter is squirting ketchup and mustard at the Mondo Burger workers he squirts them twice and they are covered with ketchup and mustard.

Continuity: When Mr. Bailey tells Ed to get in the kitchen and start making sauce, he points to the general direction of the kitchen. In the next shot he is pointing a different direction.

Continuity: When Dexter's friend runs out of the car after hitting the teacher's car, he is close to the car. In the next shot, he isn't close. In the third shot, he is again close to the car.

Other: When Mondo Burger opens for the first time, Kurt and his friends walk out to look at Good Burger. Kurt looks down for the actor's mark and puts his head up when he stops.

Continuity: As Mr. Bailey brings back a Mondo Burger, Spatch picks it up with a spatula. The close up scene shows the spatula bending. Not only should the burger have fallen off, as Spatch throws the spatula back down, the spatula is straight again as he grunts off.

Continuity: When Dexter and Ed get back to Good Burger after being chased, he runs in and tackles the old lady. When he hits her, he is parallel to the lady's body with his arms wrapped around her. But when he lands, he is laying perpendicular across her with his arms outstretched.

Continuity: When Kurt calls the kitchen he says that he wants the burgers bigger. When he gets off the phone he says that the burgers are three times the size of Good Burgers. He never told the kitchen how big to make them.

Continuity: When Dexter is taking a walk with his date after mini golf they walk by Good Burger, but in the next shot they're far away from Good Burger.

Continuity: When Ed is making his sauce, there's one shot of the sauce with nothing on top of it, but in the next shot, although nothing has been added, there's something on the top.

Continuity: When Ed is throwing cups of ice cream they stick to the window but in the next shot they aren't there.

Revealing: When Ed is driving back to Good Burger from the date, he's turning the wheel a little bit, but if you look at the background, he's going straight.

Continuity: When Dexter is eating at Good Burger before he works there, he is having milkshakes. In one shot, the shakes are in one formation, and, in another, they are in different places.

Continuity: In the scene when Dexter and Ed are thrown into the cushioned room in the insane asylum, Ed's hands are not handcuffed. The camera then shows Dexter and Ed says to look what he can do. As he is jumping off the wall you can see that his hands are handcuffed. The next time it shows Ed jumping, his hands are not handcuffed anymore.

Visible crew/equipment: When Kurt is yelling at Dexter for whispering something, you can see a stage light in the reflection of the trash can as he walks behind him.

Continuity: When Dexter is having lunch, there are trays behind him. When Mr. Weed is with him, the left trays are tall. When Edd comes, the left side is short.

Revealing: You can clearly see on the commercials that when the guy asks for a good shake and the weird kid shakes him you can see the people that work at the fast food restaurant moving back and forth very rapidly. This makes the shaking scene an obvious rewind and playback sequence.
