Factual error: Special Olympics tryouts for the Nationals take place at least a year before the Games, not a few days before as portrayed in the film.

Continuity: In the very first scene in the movie, where we see Steve listening to the motivational tape, he is wearing a red tie with polka dots. Then, when he is shown walking toward his boss' office and he falls, you can see that his red tie has changed to a gold tie. But when he is in his superior's office, you can see that it is back to red.

Continuity: When Steve and the uncle arrive at the field, Steve's shorts are black. In the next scene they change to red and then the following scene he has black shorts on again.

Continuity: The scene where Steve calls his uncle to borrow money,the Yoohoo box and the game controller on his desk move between shots.

Continuity: In the scene where Jeffy is sitting and eating with the guys at the cafeteria table and Jeffy is asking Glenn to pass the ketchup, the raisin box and apple on Jeffy's tray changes position several times.

Continuity: In the scene where Steve's uncle comes to his house in the middle of the night, when Steve first wakes up, you can see his brown sheets in the bottom left corner of the screen. Yet, when he and his uncle sit on his bed, his sheets are blue.

Continuity: When the athletes are on the medal podium the neck ribbon for Jeffy's medal is flat, then twisted, then flat again from shot to shot.

Continuity: In the scene where Steve and his uncle arrive at the Special Olympics, Steve is wearing a grey shirt with a brown collar, black shorts and knee socks with a yellow and blue stripe, and his uncle is wearing a dark blue over shirt, black undershirt, khakis, and sunglasses. But when it goes to the two of them walking across the field, Steve is wearing a light blue shirt, red shorts, and knee socks with a yellow and red stripe, and his uncle is wearing a brown shirt with whitish spots, khakis, and no sunglasses.

Continuity: When "Jeffy" is explaining who he really is to his friends, the fingers he draws on the whiteboard to represent Stavi's fingers change in size when the camera comes in closer in the next scene.
