When Oda Mae is pretending to contact Mrs Santiago's dead husband she first pretends it's too difficult and one of her sisters moves to hand her back her money. When the bill is extended to Mrs Santiago, it's folded the long way and held by the sister at the very end. Bruce Willis turned down the role of Sam because he didn't think the film would work.
Believe it or not, the producers asked Paul Hogan to play the role of Sam but Hogan turned it down because he claimed he was too much of a larrikin to play that part. Hogan, later made a movie called Almost an Angel which was a spoof of Ghost.
The director, Jerry Zucker, always places his mother in a cameo role. In this film she's the bank clerk that Oda Mae asks "May I keep this pen?"
